C'mon patriotic Aussies your awake Blighty is asleep or soon will be and you aren't allowed to bet in-play so get cracking with your Aus backs who are 1 up in the series.

I've become much more selective about what I bet on.
Pretty much down to cricket only now and weighted heavily on tests. Gives me much more time as well for other stuff |

Not sure about the England price but you’d have to think they’ll trade a fair bit longer the large majority of the time if they bat first. Problem is, without Smith, the Aussies are also highly likely to get wrecked first up. There’s hardly anyone in either side you’d rate to bat a long time right now. Obviously Root and Warner are class acts but neither has looked the business this series. Not that I much believe in form but still.

Warner looks shot to me, although he scored in the WC, he looked a completely different cricketer.
He seems to have no power anymore and has lost that ultra attacking mentality He often used to come out in tests and make a run a ball 50. Now he can't get it off the square Root's form has been poor for a while too, he has some technical problems that he is trying to iron out |

Anyway, good to see you all but bed now, bearing in mind I’ll have to take something of a stance on the SL NZ game at about 6am. So far I’ve traded it quite a lot to be essentially entirely where I’d have been if I’d just laid the draw for £2.5k at current prices. Still, with first bet a grand draw lay at 3.9 or so, it’s a bit of a recovery.

unless it's extremely flat have to think even if england cobble together 400 runs in the match very good chance they win. surely they knock oz for a low score once. without smith's mammoth contributions possible they wouldn't have reached 200 in the series yet

Warner looks shot to me, although he scored in the WC, he looked a completely different cricketer. He seems to have no power anymore and has lost that ultra attacking mentality He often used to come out in tests and make a run a ball 50. Now he can't get it off the square I have said this too. I think his batting is ok and he has had some good balls off Broad but I noticed in the IPL he would start in a hurry then slow down completely so much so it was better to keep him in rather than expose the big hitters in the middle order. He looks like he has a stamina problem and certainly a shoulder problem. He seems to have lost a lot of explosive power. I would not write him off for a good score at Headingley though |

Despite the weak batting of both sides this might well be a decent batting wicket and good batting conditions. The pitch has an even covering of short grass so should hold together. It might be a little slower at Lords and word is it might be easier to play fast bowling on. The ground is dry and hard so runs could come aplenty.
I think the draw price could fall like a stone if either side avoid a 30-3. Scores have been high here recently so do not be surprised if the batsmen come out on top even though neither batting unit is solid or dependable. English batters look like they are coming into form. |

By:
also even bounce makes fast bowling easier to play and pulling and hooking is less of a risky shot. Lords bounce was a little uneven
