Odd, isn’t it, especially given that they’ve crawled along (as as the over rate, obviously)? It’s looked hard batting and the market has essentially decided that England will wipe the WI batting out on this. That could happen but feels an amazingly low England price and rather a long draw, from the trading point of view, albeit that it’s not drawn once in 10 times if you’re betting for outcome.

Yep and both a slow scoring rate and a slow over rate. They won’t get them all in, by any stretch. Might just be light issues too, given a bit of time lost earlier.

Sure, I understood what you meant. I just wanted to put the boot in too and gave me a chance.

I could green here as got a lot of very low draw lays but far worse off than I should be. Had some lays at 7.8 taken but not all, sadly.

Think you should try to cut away short, wide balls. Sometimes it will go wrong, as will cover driving half volleys but you have to play shots with a positive EV.

Root is a boy amongst boys..not even worth his place in the side as a batsman let alone captain
but to cut him some slack is a good fit amongst the general mediocrity

He’s not exactly having a great series but he’s our best batsman by an utter mile (okay, the others are at best patchy) and would make every test side in the world as at worst the second named batsman in. Come on man!

disagree that he is world class yet, a lot to learn,he aint Kohli or Kallis etc
By:

When: 09 Feb 19 19:59
he's going through a sustained lean spell but you don't average the thick end of 50 from 79 test matches unless you are world class
By:

When: 09 Feb 19 19:59
there's hardly been a decent surface to bat on in an england test in the last year. basically the side winning the toss, batting first and making any sort of reasonable score has won virtually every match. 300 probably well above average for first inns of the match. not been easy for batsmen at all

But like before you can't relax at all coz 2,3 or 4 quick wickets can alway be around the corner.

Down to 1.30 then the draw has to get its skates in a big way.
