Nearly killing Karunaratne may have taken the edge of the Aus quicks but Lyon is a major threat too as Lanka dont play spin well anymore

yet ratboy is the main threat. Every wicket he takes is like a stake through the heart.
Really enjoyed seeing the Injuns take him apart

I’ve had nearly half my red off with a back of Aus at 1.3. I’ve seen pancakes that weren’t as flat as this. Still fully expect SL to find a way to screw it up but...

He’s one of your most hated, along with Moeen, isn’t he? If you’d laid the draw in a few England tests recently you’d have had Ali on side, as batsman and bowler. In fact, when did England last draw a test?

England are dreadful, that Lankan away win papered over a lot of cracks, so did that batch of boomerang Dukes in the summer

Yeah. They were decent enough in SL, to be fair. Easy to dismiss SL as a bad team, which they are but still a solid win when only the Indians have done anything there in ages. Basically all the test sides are rather flawed right now, apart from India, and even India have a pretty dodgy batting line up away from the sub continent.

The difference in performances between home and away is startling for most teams at the moment.
Lack of prep is the key and will only get worse

If you keep ducking the bowler will get bored, keep flapping and hooking in the air and it keeps their pecker up

Would have been +1000 if he’d called the reverse. Aus got to 1.35 and draw down to 4.4 or so, I think.

They’ve been a bit too keen on one day cricket, throw the kitchen sink at it attacking shots here, but at least they’ve defended fairly solidly.

Aus now 1.23 or so, draw 5.8, arguably, in very happy market. Odd stuff. That’s now too small a move for the play we’ve had.
