Curran was serving up gentle half volleys too. They have 3 quicks and the giant Holder. All of them will hit the deck hard. Tricky to call this, especially after that last ball from Stokes.Good points. Holder is giant but mostly bowls fairly floaty stuff but he gets swing, which could be useful. Feels to me like a true surface England shouldn’t fall apart on but I’ve seen us bat before. If it breaks up, the giants could be very hard to play in the second innings too. Also they are mercurial, they can be dire at times if they aren't in the moodYeah. Wouldn’t trust the WI attack very far at all. As you’ve said in other posts, they have bad sessions and also England bat to 10. Difficult one to pick. Obviously I will hope for lower draw prices.

they could easily spray the new ball about and Eng could be 50/0 after 10

Anderson saying the ball stayed hard for 80 overs!

I don't normally listen to the aftermath but this has been pretty insightful

That’s what they’ve been saying about these balls, yes. The odd thing is we didn’t seem that threatening most of the time but then CurranS didn’t seem to do much and neither did the spinners. Anderson probably didn’t bowl straight enough early on either.

Agree about WI spraying the ball around too.

This could fascinating. 2 completely different attacks. Only when Stokes steamed in did we see the true nature of this pitch.

If Windies can be accurate as well as fast, 300 could be a very decent score.

First things first, I need Hetmeyer to get to his century. Then we can talk about Windies bowling.

Who's with me?
