As I said earlier on this page, England will dominate this series and 240-4 to 264-8 tells you that, yes we still have to bat, so lets see what happens 2morrow with our batting, but England in a good position after day 1. Well bowled to Jimmy Anderson 24 overs 12 maidens 4 for 33 which is his usual high quality bowling.

Ruined my position backing draw after the 7th wicket. Just kept going up, although to be fair, I kept buying and managed to get a few backs laid off before the 8th fell. Feels a bit high again now althogh I don’t have much ammo left. Well, I suppose I could go properly red.

We bowled 34 overs of mostly filthy spin. Curran was serving up gentle half volleys too.
They have 3 quicks and the giant Holder. All of them will hit the deck hard. Tricky to call this, especially after that last ball from Stokes. |
