lanka have altered the outcome, influenced........they should be shaking hands by tomorrow. |
By:
A clatter of wickets would be very welcome here although we’ve lost enough time now that a long SL second innings could still do in a result easily enough.
By:
i think one of the reasons "the delay" was allowed to happen was because of the lack of spectators, imagine the same scenario at Edgbaston on a Saturday morning, the umpires would of been forced to make a decision
By:
good point sadly
By:
Do they really need a 40 minute break? something else that should be looked at imo.
By:
Dan - test cricket is still in the dark ages.
Umpires are hat racks. Match refs are stealing a living. |
By:
indeed, its sad
By:
Have taken a final lay at 2.2, which feels absurd value. I’m heading for a huge haircut if it’s rains a lot now.
By:
Called that one perfectly too: straight in past evens now.
By:
Wicket might move the game on a bit although some slow scorers to come and not close enough to parity to change their games. Could still have a collapse though, please.

Oh FFS!

5 min i think
By:
I have had a successful trade! Backed the draw at 2.32 for half the £500 lay at 2.2. Full of confidence now.
By:
I think we have a ball game here. The pitch is already showing sign of taking turn. I am not sure WI will take a big lead. Somebody must think WI can lose from here. Their price ought to be lower but they will be batting last weather permitting and fit of pique permitting of course!
By:
Has anybody got any idea of the probably result here? and how did they come to that conclusion?
By:
it depends how much more rain we have, with no more rain SL look big to me.
By:
same as it ever was
all about the size of the lead.. |
By:
do you guys think this could be a draw even if rains interrupts minimum?
By:
No, not from this point..
By:
Windies could have plenty of time to win this.
By:
If windies take a lead of 50 -75 runs , followed by Sri Lanka batting whole day 4 to score 250 and then set a target of 200 for the Windies on day 5 , windies could shut their shop and likes of Devon Smith could tuk tuk all the day, leading to a draw.

The Sri Lankan board sent out a statement defending its players: "SLC advised the team to take the field to ensure the continuity of the match and wish to commend the decision taken by the team to continue with the game 'under protest' to ensure the upholding of the spirit of the game."
If that’s upholding the spirit of the game, I don’t want to think about how being indifferent to it might look. |
By:
Got a little 2.74 too so now only £11k red draw. It’s pretty much safety, really.
By:
They will claim to uphold the integrity of the Sport because Pakistan once forfeited the match under same allegations so according to Lankans atleast they are still competing inspite of being hard done.
By:
Bishoo disappointed me, one of the premier blockers in lower order cricket and was tempted by a wide one.
By:
We are supposed to hear at end of play why the umpires gave a 5 run penalty and changed the ball. I don't think Gould or Dar are dishonest but I do suspect they made a mistake! I want to know why they did this and I do not condone the actions of SL. They should not receive any TV money!

He didn’t disappoint me, I said.
By:
Draw going out nicely here. I’m sitting on my £11k red regretting that I didn’t leave it at 12k for longer! I could actually green if it gets to 3.3.
Not happy with this faffing about checking over a totally uninjured cricketer for an injury. |

Bowl the next one up and encourage him to have an immense heave at it.
