I'm more inclined to go the royal london cup than IPL since I am heavily in loss on IPL

@ FS - I hate fractional odds. 3-1 etc is fine but when they start quoting 11/7 I just feel it's designed to confuse, so you can't assess the over-round so easily. I'd much prefer if digital odds were quoted without the stake though, then the inversions would be simpler 0.33 inverts to 3.0 (i.e. 3-to-1) instead of 1.33 being the opposite of 4.0 by subtracting 1 first inverting it then adding 1 back.

i've doubled Pak with CSK(who have a poor record bar twice in IPL finals)
SRH should've been beaten by KKR..maybe it's their time |

Your Eminence - do you only ever back the outsider in IPL or are you getting shafted backing favourites?
If it's bent (as if?) surely laying short odds should pay off over time, no? |

oh no not this about the toss again

If the weather conditions were the problem on Thursday, why didn't they bat any better yesterday? The third day with the sun out should have been ideal.
|

By:
VV Just an all round mess, no real strategy and reversing and double reversing....actually the last 1/2 done better, might be slightly up.
|
|
By:
the conditions for batting weren't great on friday either and pak managed perfectly well enough
blaming the toss is just looking to deflect the blame imo, which this england team are v good at btw |
|

Backed 60 plus runs at 20 overs for Pakistan in 2nd innings and it's been voided.
Can't even find the bet no more |
|
By:
the toss a red herring. bat properly make somewhere near 300 and england would probably have won comfortably
these must be the darkest days for our test side since 1999. that was a poor side but this team should be be doing so much better. some average to poor players but root, anderson and maybe stokes (although not in the form since his self inflicted absence) would arguably make a world XI |

Im back. I learnt a lesson today in not being overconfident and leaving a position open when going out. I had 2k Eng green which I wanted to transfer to Pakistan at 1.47. As I had to go out I reduced it to 1.43 thinking after one over Pak price will be there. It never touched that. And it means I have given away a few hundred green. Anyhow, still a good win thanks to Pakistan's first innings bowling performance. A nation that just keeps producing fast bowlers at will.

Next match at headingley. From what I remember the place is famous for bowling friendly conditions, right?

Early market for 2nd test has England 1.62 which has to be an initial lay for me

Headingley always reminds me of Dean Headley(probably because the name rhymes). Still have that picture of him in my head, that I saw in an English newspaper, bowling against NZ in 1999.

The market for this match was in total denial until the morning of day 4 which turned out to be the last day. I tried to get a draw lay in at 15.5 but missed it. Too greedy! The new ball was due and England were 6 wickets down and lead by something like 50 were less than 4's. It was like that for most of the Test, utter madness.
I regret my unusual caution. Still it was a nice easy win and I didn't have to green out. |
