Not sure whether I've done bad, very bad or reasonable today. Started off about £200 red all round and now £500 red England with a little green on Pakistan and £250 green on draw.
Was chuffed as laid Pakistan at 1.05 and then decided to lay England at around 6 (not sure what the score was). If I'd stuck before the England lay then I'd have been good. Cue a 125 run stand. I could red for £110 so I suppose it was an ok day but doesn't feel right for a team 56/6 and a new ball tomorrow. |

Rain now stopped in South London. Draw was trading at 21 just as the rain hit so do we assume it will slowly drift back towards that level by start of play if there's no more rain?

Would assume so, the forecast looks fine for the next few days. Been backing Eng heavily at 4.2/4.3, just for a trade, hoping it will go back to sub 4s before play starts. Should be sunny when they start play & that normally favours the batting side, even if the new ball is just around the corner

Backed the draw in the 30s yesterday and laid it off at 20. Didn't expect a downpour overnight to affect the odds that much. Sod's law and all that. Could have virtually gone level/scratch in the test at 14s.

Very interesting, it seems the main fix is suddenly going slowly in certain overs.
If you think about it, it's much easier to slow the r/r down than speed it up as there are way more variables involved. Watch for the tells and you can make a packet i.e. stopping the bowler in his delivery stride starts the 'fix'. They tend to do it in 1/2 over bursts. Going to be hawkeye from now on There are definitely a few players on the circuit that are guilty of this!! |
