Spot on! I’ve just left myself exposed on England almost all along (think I first laid them when 3 down) because apart from a few backs to reduce massive red early, Ive just not been able to stomach them so stupidly short. They’re 3.1! Three point frigging one and Pak ahead! Every chance they’ll give up a big enough lead that winning becomes almost impossible and next to no chance that they won’t be starting second dig a long way behind the game.

Normally I look for trading rather than outcome value this early in a game but no way am I backing England at about a point and a half lower than I think they should be. Not even Suresh I’d regard 4.5 as value here.

Slogger absolutely no point backing England at these prices. They are still a lay for me but I will buy some comedy green on England when the market wakes up!

Market is a little slow to see what is going on. I am not betting heavy on any match involving Pakistan but I would throw the kitchen sink at this one if it was another team!

Quite. The only reason to back England is that the market has such a crazy hard on for them that you might get rid of it to a greater idiot later but you’d need a wicket and one doesn’t seem to be imminent. Thing is though, there won’t be any value later either, because the market will continue to believe the England batting is better than it is.

I’m not sure how low it can go here. Rationally, it shouldn’t drop much now as Pak getting a decent lead and England up against it should be priced in but the England price says something totally different.
