I'm inclined to back Eng on rises rather than lay off my draw green at higher than mid-teens. Any prolonged Pak p'ship should see a shorter draw plus there's the weather factor overnight going into tomorrow. Hate covering red at odds-on but don't trust Pak to perform.

Pakistan batting lineup is looking attractive to me now. They've done a good job so far. I'd like to get on them, ideally before the market wakes up.

I got a small back at 1.8 before the first wicket so laid again after it and set up some backs at 1.7 and 1.75. Will try to trade the swings as can’t trade the draw from here.

PS. This remains a crazy England price so laid at 1.67 back up to £4K red.

The market clearly believes some combination of England will bowl Pakistan out cheaply or very cheaply almost all the time; England will score decent runs second dig and Pakistan will also fall apart fourth innings. It could all come true but the actual scorecard right now says England in the absolute mire unless some wickets tumble soon.

realistically what is most likely 1st inns lead for pak...50??

If Pak have played out 15 overs, and manage to finish ok by stumps, it could be a completely different pitch tomorrow, or so i hope.

Market thinks 40 or so is evens. I reckon 50+ is pretty likely, certainly better than evens. It’s not as if they need to score outrageously many to have a lead over 100.

yes I think something like 40-80 lead is pretty likely

I’m certainly hoping that. Broad and especially Anderson are still fine bowers but neither is from the very first rank of quicks and both need a bit of help to be at their best. Wood and Bess are not especially proven performers and Stokes is hit and miss. Could even be a long day in the field tomorrow.

Nearly 1/4 of the way to England’s score and England not really threatening evens. What would prices be if scores reversed? Pak 10s?

although he is miles better than what he showed during the winter
