For the record the closing offers have settled at about 3.1/2.9/3.0

Have been shamefully quiet over this series so far. Has been almost as rubbish for me as for England as after a handy win on the first test I got caught out backing the draw second test with England collapsing then the Aus second innings meaning no way back. The third test was a £5k hosing after I couldn’t believe how short Aus got with England collapsing first innings. I still think laying Aus from 4s down to mid 2s was fair enough but it turned out badly! This test I’m back to draw trading, which is going okay.

Glad to hear you're still in the game. I "fell asleep at the wheel" trading the second Ashes test and missed an entire session (valuable lesson learned - NEVER rely on someone else to wake you up just cos they say they will be up early themselves anyway - annoy them with an half-hourly alarm instead). Lost half my bank chasing the position after Eng managed to lose key wickets at exactly the wrong moments whilst failing to capitalize on what should have been favourable batting conditions.

I have a fighting chance with my 4-1 bet? Need England to win a test somehow and if they win this one and starcs back for the 5th it could make it interesting. I still have visions of England conceding a 1st innings lead though lol

What a contemptible performance by Zimmers. truly atrocious even by their standards.

Can't argue with that. Can't even blame the D/N format, annoyingly.

As for Aus/Eng the draw mysteriously moved 10 points soon after I tried to market-make for one-tick. Feeling like I've needlessly diddled myself out of quite a few quid on what was a nicely balanced position. Grrrr!!!

Rain should clear by play today, but later tomorrow looks wet.

England look on their way to a decent 1st innings lead, but batting has had a tendency to collapse after number 5. And I am wary of opposing Lyon 2nd innings who is good here. The safest play is to trade the draw. I'll look to reduce my big England red, as I quite fancy them from here.

I see the price for 3-2 has tumbled, I was too late for that.
Is Starc expected to be fit for Sydney or is it too soon to tell?

He says he will be fit, but that doesn't guarantee he will play.

Coverage (in Aus) could start with the covers on.

England and collapses go hand in hand, away from home, a pity Cook and Root hadn't started the series doing this, however 8,9,10 and 11 probably won't score more than 40 runs between them and that's if Chris Woakes scores more than 20.

Just seen that clip about Athers batting for over 10 hours of a 2nd innings to save a match at 5 wickets down against SA. That's the kind of grit England is sorely missing these days. You could probably argue that it's missing from Test cricket in general.

pitch still looking good
agree with Geoffrey that this pitch suits Englands bowlers, especially with jimmy reversing after 20-25 overs.Starc a huge loss too of course
so angry that England have decided to play when the urn is long gone, bunch of bottle jobs...im seething the more i think about it,imagine the anticipation now if they were still in it
betting wise i laid england at 3.8 then got out 10mins later at 3.8 so will watch and wait for a chance to get back involed
England hit 20's a couple of times yesterday morning
we have a test match
