my goodness england are rudderless.
I have no problem with Root's decision to bowl first although the window-lickers will judge it by the result of this match rather than the valid piece of speculation it was. My real issue lies with selection and enforcing how to play in Australia. Getting the opening bowlers to bowl full. Having a captain who doesn't defer to anderson and broad and takes them off after 2 overs if they don't do as requested. Getting batsmen to leave on length. Selecting at least one bowler who might be expensive but can bowl fast. I don't care about the injury clouds over Wood, or Plunkett or that Garton might be too raw, you cannot expect to win with 4 bowlers of this pace unless you're expecting to have them 5 down 20 overs in. Because between over 25 and 80 with the kookaburra on a wicket that isn't turning, this attack is just waiting for mistakes from opposition rather than making chances. This is so obvious and yet our terrible, terrible selectors, who can surely only have survived so long because of their anonymity, can't see otherwise. I feel sorry for the players. I really do, because they are being completely f*cked by their coach and the selectors. |

why wont/cant they bowl in the right area, its so obvious..so annoying
|

Always seem to be bowling too short. If a bloke sits on the crease and only scores off the back foot you can pitch it right up to him. A bit brainless from England again!
It is a strange thing when Indian fast bowlers are bowling faster than England's! |

sri lanka showing more fight than england as well
