Australia's bowling and batting should be too good for NZ. Although the prospect of some rain and D/L may favour the team batting 2nd. Which makes me less confident of an Aus win, if NZ win the toss and bowl. NZ's seamers need movement off the pitch and the warmups indicate they won't get it.

Funny Pitch at Edgbaston , never known it to be an outright road!

This sheds some light.

The warm-up matches at Edgbaston produced very high scores. Pakistan chased down 342 against Bangladesh, and New Zealand made light work of Sri Lanka’s seemingly impregnable 356 for 8. The catch was that these were played on practice pitches – which Williamson described as “pretty good” – where one boundary was extremely short. This match will be played on one of the two centre pitches, with a much more even distribution of boundaries. If the surface stays true to recent character, it will remain a batting-dominated one. In that scenario, the team with the superior bowling attack will be fancied to do better, since it will require some special bursts from the bowlers to rein batsmen in.

I am on New Zealand at the prices.

Australia have been a poor ODI side outside of Australia recently.

England scored 409 in 2015. Apart from that the top recent score is 254.

Williamson to score a fifty @ 2/1 with 365 looks a spot of value

Put a little on NZ but wary of Starc first up. Quite a strong NZ batting line-up.

I have started with over 61.5 off 10

Probably look at over 300 too but the batting concerns me although the pitch looks a belter

well, you might be right ealry wicket here

Good start but you need to protect the likes of neesham and anderson. Preservation of wickets is really important here and Williamson the key man of course. If he can get comfortable then Ronchi can keep after the bowling which as we saw yesterday is crucial

what is the score vis a vis innings runs in a rain curtailed innings? does anyone know?

I think fast bowlers an be a big liability up front on good batting wickets. They are of course harder to hit at the end of an innings with new batsmen at the crease

Imagine market believes Aus chase down anything on this very good track but the Kiwi attack isn't lacking in merit and they could score a lot here. Surprising that what looks a really good start isn't reflected in a shorter Kiwi police. Irritating for me as backed them then topped up twice, although at least I got 3.5 after the wicket.

They sometimes go for loads at the end too. Course everyone does but in general I agree that pace isn't always ideal on really flat tracks.

I did an acca overnight and its waiting on over 510.5 runs in this game, thinking it will be void tho if they lose even 1 over

I think NZ are a brittle bet. they could go on and score 350 here but their bowling on flat wickets lacks any penetration. I think they are worth a punt if you get good odds and I sincerely hope they take apart the Aussie 5th bowler!

Is it dangerous to be on a match bet with rain on the horizon if not in the air right now?

I am even scared to go on a 50 over run line!

that's the real downside to betting on the "over" runs markets on bf. Weather can spoil a good bet at any time

2:54 Local Time, 11:54 GMT, 17:24 IST: Now now, a fly on the wall tells me that there can be a possible restart, given it doesn't rain again, at 1:10 P.M. That is around 15 minutes from now. It'll be a 46 overs a side game and the innings break has been reduced to 30 minutes, says Ganesh

NBA Final viewing means I have just awoke, will watch about 12 balls of the resumption to see if Kiwi's momentum has been halted and if they are OK I will be Laying Aus.....lots of muscle left for Kiwi's.
