Forecast for tomorrow has improved. But the outfield will limit play.
Pak a huge lay IMO. |
By:
Think play has been called off for the day, announcement soon

Wait till they show the pics on TV, draw will be 1.3

play called off for the day

Yep, think I'm losing £750 on this. I'm so red on WI and draw now so short I can't really back it and not much joy in laying Pakistan either really, at 4s. Should have done as pxb suggested and got the lay in a few minutes ago.

When I was backing Draw at 2.56 less than an hour ago, it was to win a few ticks, I'm a Lucky Sod

While forecasts can be wrong and are usually rather to vague for our purposes, I've made a lot of money over the years betting on the forecast.

weather forecasts predict the rain will still be thereabouts on Sunday (we should get at least half a days play), Monday and Tuesday should be fine

LOCAL WEATHER FORECAST
SIGNIFICANT FEATURE……… Trough across the western Caribbean and Jamaica. Comment…… The Trough is expected to meander in the vicinity of the island for the next three days. As the unstable conditions persists most parishes will therefore continue to experience periods of showers and isolated thunderstorms until Monday. -------- I like that word 'meander'. |

I actually take back my comment, this is a pretty reliable source for weather updates: https://www.timeanddate.com/weather/jamaica/kingston/hourly
By:
if play starts at 9.30am tomorrow, we should at least 4/5ths of a days play
By:
On the forecast, best case is we get 4 hours play, but a wet outfield will likely mean less.
By:
do they have the super soppers ?
By:
Anyway just my personal opinion, if Pakistan bat the whole day tomorrow with the loss of 3-4 wickets and they are parity. I can see Draw shortening a bit more than their current price of 1.43-1.44
By:
I don't think Pakistan will be willing to risk losing their wickets in the 1st innings........they will look to build a lead of some sort heading into Day 4
By:
As I speak the draw is now into 1.41.

Big Liquidity on this market (14 AUD million, around 8.5 million GBP)
By:
WI are big considering they could win in fewer overs than Pak. And Pak batting last as well.
By:
theres a decent argument that WI have more chance of winning now.
By:
WI have batted 93 overs so far problem was they were 5 down for 27 overs! If they were repeat the 1st section of their innings then the only way this is a draw is if we lose a lot more time.

Some biblical weather in Jamaica! |

By:
Today looks like it could be OK weather. Satellite clear. Although still appears to be showers coming in from the south.
By:
Question is did they pitch covers hold up!
By:
Draw came in a bit overnight which was good for my position. Have now cashed out until we see what's the situation with the outfield. All three results are still possible but I've no idea how to weight it yet.
By:
Much as the rain has helped bring the draw in, Holder and Bishoo were the key.
At 200-7 they could have been 220 all out and Pak 30-3 |
By:
Draw at 1.28 indicates we won't get much play today.
By:
Preciptation is a chance late in the afternoon. Morning should be fine
By:
draw up a bit now to 1.32
By:
its the outfield that's the problem I think, not the rain forecast
