I don't care who does what in the market...Each man for himself...If though PXB is inclined to think 3 days play, why would he move it up from 1.7 to 2.1, not being able to back that amount back at the higher..or i misunderstand..

if you read the thread associated with the timings of the bid draw move you will realise what has happened in terms of the market moves, which in turn PXB contradicted himself in suggesting the forecast had improved then once the trade was done came out with the classic, as you posted, about a three day game Laugh The facts are the forecast has improved but changes every several hours every day, and no one really knows, just mere speculation. At this juncture i see roughly 4 days, but this will change again in seven hours and thereafter until match day when we all have real time data Cool

NZ Met forecast for Saturday has improved, but draw has shortened. Go figure.

Yeh the overall picture is much better. Feeling better now about cashing out over 24 hours ago at 1.8ish.
Just laid a load more now at 1.8s

The rain forecast picture is also looking a lot better now for Sunday than it was earlier. Saturday should be good pretty much all day. If they start on time they can play through a shower here and there.

As I noted a few days ago, this ain't going to be as green as the others but a dry spinning wicket. Very much like the first ODI that spun square.
Reverse swing aplenty too.
The way NZ batted in the last test, there is definitely a trade laying the draw now.

On balance draw looks a bit short. I'll follow jucel's lead. Although doubtless for far less cash. :-)

I still think enough rain for draw to be a worthy favourite but it's a test in NZ so going in with draw red might not be ideal with prospect of early wickets. I'll look to lay my green off a bit more at 1.8, although getting some 1.75 earlier, not long after the spike to 2.2, was rather nice.

Not sure if Id be going on their analysis Jucel :) I had a look at that too. You would think Waikato is going to have a drought over the next week :P But yeah I am moving from my draw back earlier (2-4 days ago) into laying the draw (draw red) territory.

I use the NZ metservice but interesting as a lot of people use their website.

haha who knows. Might have to top up at 1.80, but concerned that that low could still hit badly on Sunday.

I would say evens or 6/5 on the draw is a fair reflection of the current weather forecast.

yr.no has the benefit it's more precise than most forecasts. But as I have explained before, the more precise something is, the less accurate it is.

I'm all green for big amounts for me, and I'll make a move when I see the radar Saturday morning.

If you look at the 3day rain forecast for NZ, Sunday doesn't look that bad. Obviously there is rain around but there looks to be breaks in it too.

I had a look at that Jucel and it still looks rough enough for Sunday. Not enough to say definitely that there will be play on Sunday. But granted there could be play and that is a lot better than 2 days ago.

Do you think NZ will prepare a 3 day pitch with the weather in mind?

By:
tyco161
When: 23 Mar 17 06:41
No and I do not think they have time to anyway. Will just be the one that we have seen and maybe leave a tinge more grass on but no real shenanigans like the Indians.

Looking at the 3 day model, we might get overs in on Sunday. Hard to say at this stage.
By:

the 3 day model does look better than it did this morning. Still think Sunday looks dodgy the latter part especially and Monday may not be so bright either. But Sat, Tues and Wednesday looking a lot better now.

Having a ball here: already very nicely placed but managed to get a few lays around 1.8 matched to go all green then another back at 2.
