Draw 8.4 & 5.1 last night. Not too bad.

I got some of mine under 5. Terrible really. I did manage to get one lay of the draw in at 4.4 but sadly not for all the money in my account, or even for more than a fraction of the amount I was behind the draw for. If it had crept down to 4 I'd have been fine.

If it gets back to 5 will you draw a small loss?

Dont think so DStyle.

Pitch looks fairly decent. NZ have given away 4 wickets. These two appear in no trouble at all and Hazlewood has bowled a long spell. NA need to bat most of the day and get as close to 300 as possible. They would still need to bat 5 sessions in the second innings to have a remote chance of saving this.

I keep saying this, Bird is running down the pitch. NZ have an offie and Aus a few left hookers. I think thatr is more than a crumb of comfort and feel the prices are quite conservative at the moment. draw and NZ should be bigger IMHO

For the record I am 6.5 the draw and 1.53 Aus lay. Not really in as bad a position as I should be. Might be into miniscule loss territory after lunchCool

Have set up some lays at 6, 5, 4.5, 4 and 3.75 in £250 increments to reduce exposure. If they all get matched I end up with a small draw green and flat on results. This is looking a reasonably flat deck now, not even at lunch yet and the ball only 20 overs old.

Don't know what I was thinking about this morning. 5.25 on the draw on a grassy wicket but in my defence I expected some stouter stuff from NZ batsmen. They are all getting better as Test Match players. Aus attack did not look partucularly hairy arrsed and I the after the first 6 overs everything looked rosy.

I think NZ vould well get 250+ from here. 300 brings all results back in although Aus are obviously strong now.

Aus bring on their fast bowlerLaugh!

To be fair I was really perplexed when after the toss the money seemed to come for NZ. That was really weird. Need these 2 to bat for a good hour more though to make a game of it I feel

It looked like a decent enough surface to bat on. In fact, it has been a decent enough surface to bat on. The batting has been poor up to this partnership but could still argue that NZ were an excellent catch down leg being dropped instead of taken away from being perfectly well placed.

Looked in line to me. I was bricking it some more once confirmed pad first. I thought you could see off stump pretty clearly so very hard for it to be hitting outside it.

Aaron: "Right there is the biggest problem with the review system. The umpire has seemingly given that not out, based on his thinking that it was bat first. However, when this was proven false it was still given umpire's call, based on the line. The umpire never made a call on the line. When these things happen, the umpire needs to specify what his call is on the line, otherwise "umpire's call" is pointless." ---- But shouldn't the correct decision be made in the end, whatever the original doubt was? Then again, to me, with Watling batting on leg stump, I wasn't entirely sure he got outside the line. Strictly personal opinion, mind you

To be fair how can an Umpire call bat or pad first? It was pretty close and not out was the right call from the Umpire.

I am

+1 NZ
-1 Aus
+3 Draw

Can escape with almost no loss and perhaps I should. Infact I will!

Have cleared the draw red as it's time for bed. Looks like a lot of squaring up going on now these two have settled in. Perhaps BJT is right after all.
NZ position still precarious but their price not running away yet.

The point is that the umpire may have thought it hit him in line but gave him not out because he thought Watling hit it.Once a review has been called, this should have been cleared up,especially as umpire's call was the reason the decision wasn't overturned.

you are right and that is what they said on cricinfo.

My own illogical view is that it was such a close call for the human eye. The review is there for the howler. I'll make a tactical withdrawl at this point. there is no logic in my argument.

Not much faith in Aus's batting when the balls nips about
