Strongly fancy England from here.
important for Eng to get a few early wickets though, when they bowl.

unless it deteriorates significantly on day 4 and 5 this is a Draw pitch. No action for seam bowlers, which England are going to struggle with

A good 1st day and very evenly poised but the worry going forward has to be that Australia won't bowl as badly as they did yesterday again. On that pitch against that bowling England should have been something like 350-3 at the close.

I agree with Uncle Pete too,

More worrying than the score is that England have managed to bat just 3 sessions on this pitch with 7 down. If they only last half an hour this morning the complexion of the match takes a different outlook.

The pitch while looking exceedingly dodge was not really giving anything to the bowlers. England gave their first three wickets away for nix. Aus didn't bowl well after a good start.

12 sessions left, forget Sunday weather. My view is England are trying to save the match this morning.

On the plus side should they bat on to something near lunch they will have something to defend. Aus likely to be batting last and we don't know how the pitch will behave. Their batsmen may be under cooked.

The bottom line is that the initiative is their for either side to take and the game is evenly poised though slightly in Aus favour. A tense morning unless runs flow. Moen has a chance to cement his place in this side today.

I think you're being a bit pessimistic whispering. There's a total on the board already and I'm not sure the Aussie batsmen will

like this deck. Aussie batting on slow surfaces over the last few years has been poor.

I am Wurzel,

I am on the draw!

But yes, runs on the board and not a free scoring wicket.
