Very good innings that.  Will go down against Ireland, but struggled through the first 60 balls, and then basically turned the game, and probably won the game for them.

124 runs last 10 overs.

Still have an interest in this. Ireland 1st dismissal = caught.

I have Shalke to thank for reminding me of this market. Used to trade it before I left for Purple.

It'll take you the best part of a decade to earn 18% compounded on your savings account. Save yourself 10 years and Lump your ISA on the Windies!

Was tempted to sit on my bets, but traded out.  Market loves Ireland here, and a couple of overs without a wicket we may well see 1.30.

175 red still, but was 1800 red at 5/87, so happy with that.  Hopeful to get another opportunity.  Either riding Ireland up for a bit, or getting onto WI a bit higher.

had 4.54 on over 300 at 60 Cool   but was only covering the potential large loss having gone on under earlier.  Not been this happy to win 38quid in the end for awhile!  -phew

Of course Ireland have a chance.  I don't think it happens, but this is West Indies, and Sammy probably out of the attack.  Have to think all things considered, WI probably should have been scoring 360+ here.  Small ground, easy boundaries.  But I think they only really have a couple of players that would need to do the majority of the scoring.

You only need to look at the game against Pakistan, albeit 2013.  Which on second glance was actually tied.

Got Pakistan 5 for 266 after 47 overs, then obviously rain, and they needed 276 to win.

They were 5/275 at the end of the 47th, tieing the match.  103 Stirling, 84 not out off 47 K O'Brien.  Pakistan near full strength.

Can they?  Yes.  Will they?  I doubt it.  Think WI very big odds really, and only that high because they are WI and likely to do anything.  Probably have WI 1.09-1.10.

Hoping they start well though, because if they do these odds can jump pretty quickly.  Wickets will be much more violent movements though I think in the market.

Goal for mine would be to ride a little bit of Ireland runs should it happen, with a view to get on WI.  Will trade out equally should this happen, but happier to be longer term trades on WI than Ireland as I feel that is where the long term trend will be.  Hoping to see Ireland start well, maybe lay WI around 1.25 looking for 1.30-1.35.  Maybe look to do that a couple of times.  All depends on what happens really.  Ireland could come out and do nought.  Think we all want them to think they are in the game though, for a long time.

IMO anyway.

FWIIW, I see WI seamers getting 2 or 3 early wickets. Then Ireland stall and end up well short.

Well ultimately, we are looking to get a lay in just before a wicket, or get out of a back just before a wicket.
Ride the runs risking a wicket, or ride the wickets risking runs.

Some people will have positions now, but I always like to treat each innings independently of each other and base any move on what is happening in the match, with different scenarios playing out in my head.  Whatever works for you.  Today it isn't yet, but long term it is.  Plain

Yeah, big possibility.
I think for the most part the score will be too intimidating for them to chase and too daunting.  Think wickets come in clumps today, how early that is we will see.  Hoping that doesn't come to pass as want to see bigger odds again.  Think they are big now, but never touch odds that short regardless at this point in the game.

What is your position?  Just the caught?

Remember, I don't trade in play.

Did for 18 months at Purple and found it requires learning some new skills.

When I came back to bf, I decided to stick to pre-play and series markets. Where I can reliably make money, without the stress of in-play.

Ireland should be able to deal with this on a flat track, no spin, one fast bowler with a bad back, small boundaries and against a demotivated team

I'm $10 all green on the match odds. Fairly typical pre-play trading for me.

Its not like Windies have a Narine who can win them a match with a spell...

They do seem to have Taylor averaging 28 with the ball, Roach 27, Holder 30 and Russel 32.   More than enough to get out batsmen in Ireland considering Narine only averages 26.5 and clearly not much better.  Not to mention they all get wickets off less balls.

But what would we know.

You are suggesting WI won't win because Narine isn't playing?  Are you saying anything or just attacking everybody without an actual opinion?  LaughLaughLaugh

The West Mugdies are chucking pies here and Irish are handling them comfortably.

I thought Windies were home and hosed after posting 300+, but I'm going to have to reevaluate.

I think u either get on Ireland at 6s or 7s or don't bother. Backing a minnow at 2 or 3 is way too risky
