I can see it happening today the west indies are not focused, they are more focused on other stuff like the players that never got selected and other politics, I can see a solid team like Ireland causing a massive upset.

if theres one team you just cant bet on or bet against, its the West Indies...
even with their internal politics problems...they still have some classy players in that squad... they are just as likely to lose to a minnow as they are to beat a top ranked side... |

Slip, you may be right, but I don't agree with your reasoning. I feel Ireland may beat Windies because Windies are sh1te at the moment and Ireland aren't bad, so if the breaks go the Paddys' way they can win.
All the Windies players will feel that they are playing on one of the biggest stages, as professionals, for potentially very lucrative future contracts - some will even be looking at the IPL gravy. To suggest they're unfocussed because of internal politics and aren't going to be on their 'A' game as a consequence is nonsense. |
