Bit of rain over the CBD may have caused that draw movement.

I live in a high rise with panoramic view to the G. Lots of dark cloud but moving away from the ground at the moment.

Getting dumped in Geelong and Frankston, but for the most part looks to be keeping south.

The big front has gone passed, still a little bit behind it, but looks to be fading out a little.  Should get plenty more play today, but then these radars are beyond my understanding...

why would australia declare with anything less than 400 lead? 90 Overs in a day means 400 is possible but obviously very unlikely.#

I cannot understand the difference between the 300.5 and 325.5 innings runs price. How can someone think they'll declare in the low 300s?

325+1st innings lead of 67 = 392 Declaration

It seems logical that if you're going to be 'aggressive with the declaration' and thus giving india a sniff, it would be far better to be ultra aggressive in the batting, thus giving more time if successful and have the same time/same chance of losing.

Seems Aus are doing just that. I say they declare at 400-x

400 ahead minimum I mean. so Over 325 seemed incorrectly priced.

Aus always aggressive with declarations 350-375 enough to go for win.

realistically whatever Aus set them to chase they will go for it, so this discussion about a good or bad declaration doesn't carry much weight here.. whether Smith declares overnight or declares tomorrow morning around the 375-400 mark, it doesn't matter, India HAVE to win this game, any other result sees them lose the series

Kholi was right to say he only respects a couple of Aussie cricketers  because

there is only a couple who would deserve it in how they play the game.

We are a team of overpaid smart arses who overstep the imaginary line between

boorish overconfident bullies and reasonable sledging (eg: Humour without the

nasty bitterness.) Have been since Ponting and nothing seems to have changed

under Clarke.

They stupidly believe they can't win without dissing their

opponents at every opportunity. They are a disgrace to the game of cricket.

They are hated by their opponents generally and have no respect from their

peers in how they carry themselves during the game.

I refuse to support a bunch of the most grace less winners and even worse

losers in the game. Johnson and Warner are the biggest disgrace.

By:
AFL
When: 29 Dec 14 08:40
Every series Australia play in it is the same story......they relentlessly diss their opponents and the game

degenerates into who can make a bigger arse of themselves.

It is no co incidence. Any wonder the other teams are giving plenty back ...and how we don't like it when its

dished back in our face.

We are the biggest bullies in the game and deserve to lose every match until we play the game in the right

spirit.

Surprised this doesn't happen in other Aus sport like AFL for instanceWink

if I was smith, I'd set them 400. It's the ultimate burn. He knows they can't get it and he knows they have to go for it. Agree with secondcoming

AFL
When: 29 Dec 14 08:47
It starts pre match with the interviews. It is a co-ordinated plan. Before every game the dish out another

player to take pot shots at their opponents and  mouth off about their opponents weaknesses. They are

pathetic to think they can't win without doing this.

Well said AFL!

Phoenix, I don't think India will go for it. Hopefully somone in their camp will demonstrate the voice or reason. If Dharwan gets off anything is possible but realistically they do not have much of a chance. Best play each ball on it's merit something which thus far they have been unable to do!
By:
AFL
When: 29 Dec 14 08:50
In AFL it is very rare for any player to diss their opponents BEFORE a game. More often they talk their

opponents up and even respect them without losing face  shock of shocks.

Who made themselves the biggest arse of themselves this test? Apart from Warner's usual top rating in this

dept?

I'd say Johnson taking an unnecessary ping at the stumps and hitting the batsman square in the back and

giving a half baked apology just about earns it.

Don't disagree with you AFL some times it's cringe worthy but most sports in Aus are taught or learn this growing up.Don't single out one because they are less subtle publicly.

Personally systematic doping at a football club concerns me more as far as sport goes.

AFL, you simply don't understand cricket.. if a bowler leaves his crease and you have the ball you have absolutely every right to have a throw, if the batsman is so stupid to position himself in front of those stumps you're aiming at then he deserves to get hit

let me address the "bullying", it's not bullying at all.. the fact is that this is test cricket, it tests you in every facet of the game, it tests your physical ability to hit the ball and your mental ability to be able to concentrate for prolonged periods in order to come out on top, if you can't excel at either of those 2 things you will not beat Australia and that's the way it should be

Kohli is an absolute deadshit, you cry foul because he cops it from the Aussie players, what about when he raised the middle finger to the Australian fans whilst he was fielding, I bet you didn't want me to bring that up did you.. and there's your future Indian captain ladies and gentlemen, he made himself a target when he couldn't cope with what the crowd was saying.. what chance does he have against a fired up Australian team who plays aggressive cricket and is very much in your face

also, your rant about AFL players being holy saints and never disrespecting their opposition pre-game is nothing but a load of sh1te

one last thing, this AFL sport you follow.. it bores the **** out of me and the sport should be de-listed as a competitive sport, it's not competitive at all, it's boring as **** and I would sooner take a cheese grater to my ballsack than watch that boring as **** game
