i know they started half hr earlier but will they play half hour later as well....in england if rain has fckd things up the play is altered starting at 10.30 and finishing at 6.30 but they play till 7 due to players incapable of bowling the overs in the alloted time
By:
I don't think so, I think they are just starting 30 minutes early for the last 3 days
By:
what a load of bllx then short change the public in getting a positive result
By:
excellent plan to try and take out lyon from the attack. particularly with these long sessions you want to force clarke to go back to mitch and rhino when he doesn't want to
By:
Think this match is heading for a draw , which I suspect would suit everybody in the light of recent events . Neither set of bowlers are getting much out of the pitch , and Australia are bowling their spinners at 2 excellent players of spin bowling . As I say , I think a draw would suit everyone , and get cricket back up and running without any controversy .
By:
no great danger in getting on the draw now, but i'd be very careful later on.
one scenario is india getting past australia's lead, which is unlikely, but what may well happen is that Clarke sets a gettable total. |
By:
kholi just hemlet from a bouncer from johnson, it was nasty
By:
the pitch is flat score 450 in 140 overs this is a draw for sure
By:
This game is called cricket and I never, that is never, back the draw at short odds. That is the way to the poor house. India do not have much of a tail, there is extra time being played and Clarke may well set them 400 to get in 100 overs. See the draw boost out if that is the case. Or India may score 150 past Australia and then get through the top order of the Aussies... many many scenarios still possible in this game. Pitches late in the game and psychology has often changed what has seemingly been a draw to a result.
By:
Draw isn't that short at 1.56.
Probably a fair price. India still in with a chance here. |
By:
Great set up here. I was half right about Indias batting, plenty of runs/50s but only 1 ton. Agree that the tail pretty weak for India, but in saying that think the pitch could be a mad turner the next 2 days. Don't really know enough about Karn Sharma. Think India can at least get to 400. All 3 options in play
By:
Had 6 beers and am typing that before bed, if it all sounds scrambled. But you know what I mean.
By:
there's no way India are winning this, even if they get to 600.. if India had just 1 guy capable of ripping through a batting line up I would give them a shot but they simply have got nothing in the fast bowling stocks and I can't see an inexperienced leg spinner doing some Shane Warne type damage
a draw looks likely but India shouldn't be aiming for that result, make no mistake if they don't win this test they will not win the series.. it's the perfect place to start a series in Australia for India but they've got an inexperienced spinner when they needed someone with some big variation who knows how to get the most out of a scratched up day 4 pitch |
By:
Ind test team couldn't win a raffle away from home. They don't have bowlers capable of taking 20 wickets.
By:
Isn't that just an easy cliche Yomomma? Surely the key to good trading is having an open mind and trying to see possible scenarios before they open up. They're batting has passed the test so far for mine and I still fancy all 3 options as being open in this match.
By:
Not much point over analysing different scenarios when India are playing away from India. Just lay India at start of match, sit back with a few beers, enjoy the carnage, then count your winnings at the end of match. Much easier than sitting in front of a computer for 5 days needlessly trading
By:
current run lines around 485-490 seem way too high imo. Saha's 3rd test, Karn Sharma on debut, and then 3 bunnies in Shami, Ishant, and Aaron. A lot rests with Rohit but I'd be surprised if India made 450, let alone 490.

By:
Pitch has deteriorated more than normal cos of the rain.
Should be plenty of wickets last 2 days. OzBattla, Indian bowlers did better than the Australian bowlers in the first 90 overs, knocking over batsmen early, which Australia failed to do. Then I assume fatigue set in, which will be less of a problem 2nd inn. |
By:
Well the Indian 1st innings isn't going to end, until at the earliest lunchtime on Day 4, by which time, India, should only be 50 behind maxumum. 12 wickets have fallen in 217 overs of cricket, with a possible 196 overs, still to be bowled. Now unless there has been heavy overnight rain and the pitch has been uncovered, the game looks set for a bore draw.
By:
draw keeps shortening but loads of overs still to play reckon 190 plus
By:
Lyon doing the biz Aus gone from 7 to evens in 20 mins
By:
Draw great value now @ 2.28 IMO

Don't think there are enough overs today for Aus to get enough runs to declare.
By:
Need Warner to get going rapid for a dec today

DOESS ANYONE KNOW HOW MANY OVERS DUE TO BE BOWLED ON FINAL DAY

By:
probo only get 90, 2 lost for the change of innings & a slow over rate australia gonna get a 400 lead quick then probo 80-85 overs to bowl india out, can only see a draw no way india will attempt 400 runs in 80 odd overs, im already green on all outcomes but gonna back some more draw at 2.32, good luck everyone
By:
Always seems Cook the only skipper done for slow overs?
By:
Still think Aus get this done.Time for Lyon to capitalize on a bit of confidence and quicks to apply pressure from the other end.Carry may be a problem but so will variable bounce.Good volatile final day ;)
By:
the 5th day pitch will b a mine field, 10 wickets in a day is spot on
By:
It's not gonna be a mine field when it's still a road on day 4. This is a drop in pitch not the traditional Adelaide Oval style of pitch.
By:
Local games say otherwise.
By:
this is ours to lose now, India are on the ropes I feel
declare overnight, if they think they're good enough let them have a go |
By:
Think declaration now then 2 maybe 3 wickets before lunch, if India win this I will be very surprised and out of pocket
By:
dont worry lads this not gonna end in a draw...after a days play, i had a chance to green for a bullseye across the board left it and yesterday had to take a 90 quid loss on a positive result or 70 on the draw....or cud have let it run and lost a monkey!!!!....always green whenever u can is the moral of this story.....only time i get involved heavy adelaide decides 2 have its 1 day of rain during the ttest match!!
