yes, when TMS said about the tarpaulin as the ultimate solution I thought to myself "You've got to be kidding me?". The water would simply slope down under it or rise up through the ground due to the saturation from the higher area.
In all honesty, there is very little they can do without the correct drainage in place before the match. |

in reality, when you take away subjective betting opinions, I don't think England will be thinking about upping the run rate and declarations. The weather is often wrong and if they declare on a whim and the Indians plunder the bowling, then they are going to look pretty stupid if the "big bertha" misses the uk!!

fair point, but the chances of it missing look very remote atm - probably similar to the chances of India winning this match
 In all honesty they have to consider tomorrow as a potential washout when planning the approach today. Whether they will or not is another story of course. |
