ffs they only need 150 all out if need be but off 40 overs not 60
By:
This is dire to say the least.
By:
hit a quick 200 off 40 overs then declare. if they only get 150 ind will still be able to win chasing 389.

why the draw is not in freefall is a mystery

By:
bet f c.......covered that one way back.........
By:
because England haven't secured a draw and seems unlikely that they will want to if they want a chance to level the series. These days it is more insulting to lose a series 1-0 and not go for it rather than lose 2-0 having gone for it to try and level the series.

By:
pro's saying still plenty time left really not at the rate thier batting time will soon be swallowed up they need lots of overs to have any chance bowling them all out
By:
India can go at 3.5.............with wickets in hand..........they are not out of it YET...
Cook will see to it though |
By:
this is just time wasting.
tney should have india in their now if they really want to win this |

i wish i backed india when they were at 50. england will have to declare today around tea time to give themsleves the best chance to take 10 wickets and win. i can see a scenario where if ind get off to a solid start they may have an outside chance to win.
By:
i got them at 55's 60's start of play yesterday cashed out last night on 8th wicket silly move i can see them trading much lower before end of match

I think England will declare about 30 mins after tea with a lead in the region of no less than 420. So they probably get in the region of 120 overs to bowl India out which is acceptable. It will be an exciting finish I think. It is easier to bat out for a draw than chase the runs, less risk but I think a number of the Indian batsmen like Sharwan, Kohli and Sharma will try and dominate so that might make for an exciting last day. Conversely though that attitude is dumb in my way of thinking it might put pressure on Cook and England.
I would like to see Dharwan, who is a favourite of mine do a Sehwag here and smash a quick 80 before close to put the willies up the market but I cannot see it and further he needs to be replaced by Ashwin for the next test. I am going to check out my wardrobe and get the brown troosers for tomorrow ! Heavy on the draw and no was out. |

Lead goes over 300, 4 an over already in this innings.
By:
Few 4's and a 6 have got the run rate up. Slowish start but fine now.
By:
If it was me I would had Buttler open or come in at 3. He hit 85 off 83 1st innings. Different ways off doing things I suppose.

only £15 to get in tomorrow
