look's like England have finally managed to get a pitch prepared to suit - about time. Would still have a spinner though - always !
|
|

dhawan's a bit of a nothing wicket anyway tbh. Looks all at sea in these conidtions especially with the ball moving away from him. As always, pujara will be key.

Well done Steamship!
I was heavy on India but had to accept defeat and even managed a decent profit on exiting. I put all that profit plus wins on Germany and Holland on a win for Germany in the World Cup Final 90 minutes at 2.4 rather than just to win the World Cup at 1.8. So I lost that but it was from 2 or 3 winning bets. A silly and needless mistake nonetheless! Make sure you only take people's opinions into account and not neccessarily follow their advice,. They are equally possible to be wrong as you were, India could have been skittled last week no matter how unlikely. |

The weekly Prior mistake.
"Buttler is not ready for Test cricket" (Cook). |
|
By:
I don't think Prior is fully fit mobiltiy wise! He is smart enough to know not to give Butler his chance! Butler needs to improve his wicket keeping because he has what it takes to bat at this level.
Dharwan is a walking wicket in these conditions. Staying out of the betting today! |

Ballance looks like he's about to fall out.

Need to drive later so only a pint for lunch! London Pride.
Want to enjoy the cricket for a change! I think you would have to favour England here but at the same token if India bat well once the laquer has come off and survive past luch they could make England a lay. I have had a good run recently and don't want to make any mistakes in this match. Too much can happen. I am going to the ground on Friday and Sunday and defeinately do not want to be looking at my mobile at prices! Too hot tomorrow to get gatted so have a nice lunch and bottle of wine for the afternoon and the customary few pints before lunch may become a casualty of war as I don't want to fall asleep in the heat! |

England are wasting the conditions here! They should be odds on!

Good job Botham and Holding aren't commentating, they'd be apoplectic with rage, their pet hate is a ball going through a gap.
Nasser did really well in the last test, pointing out the fact that Cook would change the field "after the event, following the ball", and its just happened again already. |

good anticipatory captaincy again Cook..you really are a bright boy

Pecker,
Are you on India? Still time to get in on the action! I have taken a smallish lay of England@21.19 for now. I am useless! Wonder if I should just have some India green to trade back should this go against England. I actually think the Lords pitch is good enough for a draw, atmospherics excepted. It will get better and easier to bat on days 2 and 3, |

2 wickets down for a side you've put in to bat is a failure, and many of Cook's tactics you wouldn't accept in a village game.
Poor bowling, poor catching, England with the problems at lunch. |
|
By:
shocking morning for england in the conditions. yet another key session this year they've lost
|
|
By:
Whatever you level at Cook, you can't blame him for Prior dropping 2 catches. If he had taken that last one, England would look OK at 72 for 3.
|
|
By:
wonder how much Cook's decision is affected by his woeful batting form now, if at all.
|
|
By:
he's a complete liability. staggering that the selectors, coach and captain can't see it
|
|

brilliant from pujara yet again. Comes in after an early wicket and looks solid in helping see of the new ball. Makes it easier for the batters coming in after him. Superb patience/temperament, plays late and with soft hands - lad is a real talent and has all the potential to become the very best in this format. His average is defo not an anomaly.
Overall definitely India's session that for me. Pitch was doing plenty and England really should have had India in more trouble. |
|
By:
WD......YES 4.7 INDIA
I am not suprised to see England not adjust well to the amount of movement as in the past. It takes too long to engage brain and India approach has been good. Virat bats a session and England will be well behind the 9 ball. How many unfit England boys on the pitch, 3 or more. Also can see England lose wickets on here. |

australia has a few good keepers.,should check if they have a great great great grandmother from pommy land, maybe they could get a game..surely this is priors last
