Laying SL!
SA don't need 10 wickets! they just need a couple quickly before lunch tomorrow to slow this down. |

I shall be getting a good nights sleep. Everything tells me SL cannot win. It is impossible. I just hope SA don't implode. I think in Steyn we trust. He will take a couple of wickets and slow things down. At some point I hope that SL will settle for the draw. I am on straight lay of SL no idea which way this will go. better have a shilling on the thai! SL cannot win ffs, can they?
By:
difficult to slow SL down when needing less than 3 an over. Bat the overs, they win.
By:
day 5 pitch alfie. there should be a couple of wickets for bowls staying low or spinning out of the rough at least that is what I am hoping and maybe that will put a halt to the run chase! otherwise I am truly up against it

2.7 sl i laying again far 2 short

I would too but am already way over comitted. There is also a chance of rain interruption tomorrow and I for one shall be doing the rain dance. My brain tells me SL cannot do this but my ring is telling me something else.
On the plus side SL have a lot of runs to make and a couple of quick wickets at any time before tea will make them reassess their situation to play for the draw at some stage i hope. Fantastic finale. I shall be getting up early to watch then on top Lords. Hope fpr a couple of early wickets! |
By:
You mean a couple of quick wickets by lunch surely.
By:
Gonna be a great final day, SL have got off to a flyer, theirs to lose imo
By:
This really is set up tomorrow. No rain around apparently - although you never know with Galle. Very hard to see how it can be a draw unless SL lose a few early wickets and just defend the overs out. Certainly should be longer than 3.4. My gut says Steyn comes in and kills them off but SL could just chase it down.
By:
Looks like an automatic huge lay of the draw and at around 3.45 its very appealing but expensive if it goes wrong.
Might just turn out that Amla was a little too generous with his declaration |
By:
im in far too much as well but 2.7 is too low and we cant be scared
By:
260 off 90 overs with nine wickets left - quite doable
By:
at 2.7 on day 5 ?
By:
not much different to the SL first innings so far. They were 98/1 after 31 overs. Here they're 110/1 after 32. Think SL may well put on a few more runs but as the ball gets old and starts to reverse I fully expect them to collapse once again. SA price is very big imo.
By:
fully agree so hav gone in again but i am on a losing run. taken a step back but think this is a great lay
By:
Tahir the key IMO. Gets balls to spin out of the rough and wickets should fall. But very inconsistent bowler.
By:
4 high class bowlers 6 decent batsmen laft cant see how sl favs

I partially agree with WD, even though I hear his book talking.
SL much too short at 2.5. I'd give them not much more than a 1 in 4 chance. Draw also a chance, but Tahir will either take wickets or bleed runs. I'm in a rather poor position, but keeping a decent green on SAF, as a SAF win looks likliest to me. |
By:
I've cashed out so maybe can be a bit more objective. I can't see a draw, mainly due to the fact it is easier to attack on this pitch, than defend! You need to put the spinners off their length because if they are allowed to settle into a groove, then the batsmen will get out due to the amount of turn. Plus Tahir will be bowling quite a few overs and he is not the most economical. If SL start trying to shut up shop then they will lose. I'm going to wait to see if SL get off to a flyer and then back SA.

2.1 already! could be 1.8 after the first over, if a four is hit
