Matches that look a draw after day 2, quite often aren't. And that goes double for a place like SL.
So I'm treading cautiously here and keeping SAF onside with a largish draw green. |

no idea why the draw is still odds on. I just keep laying it and working a treat so far. Down to 1.25 in the first session of day 3. The easiest money I've made since the ashes!

why lay the draw.. back SA if anything

The movement in the odds is like a 4th/5th day. The draw dropped 20 ticks after lunch for about 30 runs

South Africa caught ball tampering. Again.
Vernon Philander (who won't appeal) fined 75% of his match fee for scratching the ball. |

150 by SAF would put this out of SL's reach IMO.
At what point will SAF declare? The result backers will hope today. I'm heavily on the draw, and happy for SAF to keep batting. |

Be interesting to see Amla's style of captaincy with his declaration.

I took a position early in the match to back draw due to possible weather. The weather did not fully materialise but because batting was slow going the draw remained favourite because of the possible future weather. Prior to the end of day 1 I layed SL only to see them take a few late wickets and the price come down so I layed them some more early day 2 i think. I figured runs on the board at Galle count big. Then JP took it away from SL but I topped up on SA just in case as this is a big result pitch.
My position has not changed since day 2. almost even Draw and SA moderate win, big red SL. I then switched attention to Lords. I take the view that a result here looks probable, The pitch is going to be difficult to bat on. The only thing that will save SL is rain and that is in the hands of the gods. I wouldn't like to make the call which way it goes and being even will not switch from one winning position to another. |

One down already so can relax a bit. |
