Had a dabble on SL, hopefully then can get another 30/40 more runs. Cook under immense pressure, add into that the inexperience of chasing for Robson and Ballance and think Herath could be a big threat.

thing is now every England wicket ticks in my favour! 250 is real important. Pitch is not really looking like a mine field as yet. Must be important for SL to bat for as long as possible timewise. As close to tea as possible just to maintain wear and tear on the pitch. Surprised again Ali was not tried. Broad Anderson bowling was not great. |

At Lords even in the last innings the footholes didn't seem very big - here they look pretty deep and there's a bit more bounce. Moeen Ali got two wickets but Cook has barely used him since - go figure ?

yes only 2 teams have come from behind to win here I have heard!
With regards to the pitch. the weight of history is starting to go against England but you can only play what is in front of you. the pitch seems ok for now at least. The good things for SL backers is the heavy roller has been used regularly and the effect of that has not been felt....yet  |

it's about encouraging girls to play the game which is a good thing, but my god, they were awful with the bat for that sort of age.
there are plenty of good girl hockey players that sort of age, so it does surprise me a bit. |
