India love a good chase i'm more tnan happy at this price.

India @ 4.30 definitely worth a trade
By:
Wanderers is a lightning quick outfield still
By:
India have no chance. Yuvraj & Raina are really weak links on quick pitches
By:
strongly fancy India as well - still waiting though, market is clearly pro sa so will be plenty of opportunity. Last 2 matches here:
Sri Lanka chased 312 against SA SA defended 343 (Pak hit 309 in reply) |
By:
different decks
By:
Indians have only had two days practice & have not got the right length. SA have 6/7 bowlers too
By:
outfield is the same lightning outfield though. 300 is par against India nowdays and they are the best chasing side in world cricket.
By:
agree r.e the practice though - batsmen could be under-prepared.
By:
kohli and dhoni are the key men
By:
the others are iffy against bounce
By:
India can only win in a reduced game & then D/L should favour SA if they don't lose too many wickets
By:
GONE!
By:
dhawan and rohit for me. See off steyn and they'll chase it. All of the recent big chases they have been very important up front. Plus they usually convert into big scores when getting a start.
De Kock gawnn at last. |
By:
First game v Aus in India had a bit of pace & they were well short. This pitch has more bounce and movement
By:
duminy above miller again |
By:
whats too many for India to chase?
By:
400
By:
ha ha!
By:
India have got over 300 in 4 last 7
By:
At altitude, I am surprised the average first bat score is 220.
By:
India = no chance. 1.01 not 1.2
By:
Everyone underestimates how difficult it is to adapt to playing in a different country with 2 days practice
By:
If I wasn't already balls deep on India, I would be laying the **** out of this....
By:
bjt, hope not too much
By:
imo India have too hopes Bob and none & Bob is dead
By:
What's the biggest score South Africa have ever failed to defend? I actually don't know the answer to that one.
By:
no-one is saying India are a cert. When the team against them are 1.2 though to defend 320 odd then it's obvious where the value lies.
By:
with the 1.2, of course.
By:
will be 350 if he keeps bowling that poor length
By:
but today make history
By:
can see India chasing 330 here.
By:
where's Ishant Sharma when u need him!
By:
Australia 330/7 49.1 6.71 won v South Africa Port Elizabeth
Sri Lanka 314/8 49.5 6.30 won v South Africa Johannesburg India 310 48.5 6.34 lost v South Africa Nagpur Pakistan 309 48.1 6.41 lost v South Africa Johannesburg Sri Lanka 304/5 48.4 6.24 won v South Africa Kimberley England 304/8 50.0 6.08 lost v South Africa East London India 302/7 49.4 6.08 won v South Africa Kochi West Indies 300/3 45.0 6.66 won v South Africa Centurion |

This is a flat deck and at altitude. Easy to score boundaries and sixes.
By:
Biggest scores South Africa have failed to defend.

3 wickets down is the main point. Amla was a giveaway wicket. Batting is easy, and India have shown what they can do in those conditions. Maybe the pitch isn't to their liking, but I find it hard to believe that professional cricketers playing on a multitude of pitches every year don't adapt to the pitch. If De Kock can make a century here, I feel any of about 6 Indians can do the same, much much quicker....
Certainly not suggesting they will do it, but they odds are well in their favour IMO.... Not to mention, the outfield looks lightning... If they need it. |
By:
In saying that though, full tosses don't help.. FFS
By:
325+ matched as high as 9.50 well done overs backers
By:
Also the fact that a useless batting unit (pakistan) made 309 here chasing gives hope.
This death bowling is shocking though - giving away an extra 30 odd it seems. Glad I decided to wait before getting involved. Hopefully get a monster price at HT |
