1.97 seems a bit big on Aussies, have to back them at that price, can see Aussies nicking 2-3 wickets of England batsman tonight

England will battered after fielding for 150-165 overs in the field in scorching heat

Australia won't enforce the follow-on though, its too much of a toil to do especially with back to back tests (with Perth being in 3 days after this one) and the overload of bowling

Ryan Harris should be batting above Peter Siddle in my opinion
By:
West Coast Eagles
When: 06 Dec 13 05:11
he can whack em , Siddle is more of a defensive blocker/nightwatchman

Ryan Harris is a batsman isn't he though?  He came into state cricket as a batsman who could bowl a little.

yeah well I was suprised he is batting below Siddle , I consider him an alright batsman, might even a tad better than Mitch Johnson

England Projected Score 375 to 400 runs for 1st Innings, if thats the case. Knowing the way Clarke captains, Australia will push for quick runs in the 2nd innings before declaring. No way England get within 100 runs of Australia's first innings target. Im not sold on England's Top 7 batsman (Prior, Root, Carberry, Stokes). KP, Cook , Bell going to have to do bulk of the work. Sometimes odds misjudge the 'tiredness' factor, especially when u have been in the field for 2 long days

Wow Australia pumping but actually they need Harris to bowl and they have just tired him out negating potentially any reasons for his runs but we will see, hope England can score strong and fluke an Aussie collapse....having said that though if fielding was even par they would have probable had the Aussies out for a lower score

You don't think he can bowl 5 overs?  lol.  He scored 75% of his runs on the fence anyway, so hardly did anything but swing...  LaughLaugh

There's no doubt if Carberry takes that catch last night it's a different ball game, the guy he dropped goes on to be a part of a 200 run partnership

Seriously though, when was the last time England scored that many?  You have seen it a few times now from Aus in the last 2 series, England yet to make over 370.  This "road" perfect for them.  I expect nothing less than 500 here for England based on all the opinions in this thread....

More than just his batting was the expression of exhaustion from Harris alas you are correct that the forum would perhaps be more in the England camp I agree and 500 runs would be an achievement we will soon see what it's like for them but it didn't look too challenging for the Aussies to be fair and England are I would say a little more patient Alaistair Cook needs a big knock

England really only have two guys who can't bat if you have to get yourself out more on this wicket then they will probable cope ok on record but who knows how the mental game is?
