Talk is NZ will drop a spinner (Martin) and play Neil Wagner.
By:
That makes a lot of sense too. Martin was ineffective and Wagner will provide more oomph. If NZ cannot win here then more questions will be asked of them. Can see the draw dropping initially especially if first at bat bat well. But as always my main strategy will be laying the draw.

Bangla batting in the 1st Test was a surprise. If they can do the same again, draw definitely goes short.
By:
not that much of a surprise. they scored 500+ in Galle not so long ago. they bat well in Asia.
You could argue their batting (in Asia anyway) is stronger than Pak's |

Odds on hometeam look big for me http://www.cricketscore.com/match/dEMot2tk/#odds-comparison;1x2-odds;full-time, have to take some of that, never mind anything else. Bangladesh shown in the first test that they can fight!! Good Luck everyone!

Draw down to 1.76. Must be raining :-)
By:
NZ have been steadily drifting for days. Now nearly 4, which makes them value IMO.

Bang win toss and bat.
presume not raining. ![]() |

bangla 228/5 @ tea day one, draw still odds on,are they expecting weather disruptions ?
By:
Perhaps its raining now ? draw just shifted 10 ticks down
By:
covers on now
By:
cheers -all becomes clear
By:
even if the rest of today is washed out though.... does 228/5 deserve a draw price of 1.50 at the end of day 1? I mean that (228/5) could be a normal 90 over score in some games and I bet the draw is not 1.50 when that happens.....

or is there a lot of rain in the forecast for the following days?
By:
likely rain all day tomorrow.
other days not so bad, Wednesday probably the clearest day but Thursday and Friday both look like they might have rain at some point, no idea how much if any time will be lost on those days though. If they don't get any play tomorrow it would go along way towards killing the game anyway. |
By:
Started to rain very heavily again
By:
By:
Play called off for the rest of the day.
By:
Got reasonable green on the draw & break even on Bang/NZ after a few trades. Tempted to top up on the draw given tomorrow's forecast. Could be beneath 1.1 by close tomorrow. Eventually, I'll be looking to gamble a small chunk of that profit laying the draw at very low odds as either team may try to force a result later in the game if the weather settles.

cant believe bangers are shorter than kiwis here.
![]() Taking 20 wkts on this pitch will be a lot harder than scoring runs with the short boundaries. tomo's fc doesnt look the best but rain was forecast everyday in chittagong and it failed to arrive. Dhaka is also drier than chit usually and the monsoon season finishes in october so hopefully the rain is on the way out. early start tomo and subsequent days to make up lost time. If we get 50+ overs in tomo i think kiwis win. |

market slowly moving.

kiwi price correcting now. lovely

Got burnt a little laying the draw test 1. Still confident given enough overs of a result here, hard to say how much rain will show up tho. Agree with DJ think the draw will shorten considerably so will consider a good lay of the draw at shorter price.
By:
Ross Taylor in an interview said he was confident of a result. Already bowlers footmarks showing up he said and this pitch is doing more than the one for the first test. Its a pity it may be weather dependant but the draw is lengthening so who knows the weather may be on the improve too.

By:
weather looks ok today according to google lol. market agrees anyway. come on you kiwis

There ya go Lix..... in the money. well done and well spotted.

Backing the Bangers at change of inns.
By:
that would not be a bad strategy there OzBattla. Their price has drifted too much I think. NZ batting can be brittle as well. There is more in this pitch than the last game.

after a truly dreadful month, a bit of green at last!
