There is also talk here in NZ that McCullum may well declare overnight to give Boult and Bracewell a crack in the early morning with the new ball.... That should help the odds of both NZ and Bangladesh.

Have you taken a look at the weather forecast for Friday its horrific
This is the best site Ive ever used for forecasts, as advised ages ago on here by Nigel

http://www.yr.no/place/Bangladesh/Dhaka/Dhaka/

NZ will declare overnight and hope to skittle out the Banglas cheap BUT the banglas will view a drawn series as a huge result. Im green all over but have shifted quite a chunk towards a draw

Looks like we could lose half the overs Friday. So NZ declaring would be a good move to get a result.

What chance Bangla score 280+ in say 90 overs? That's what I estimate is needed for a draw. Assuming my rain assessment is correct.

Its all down to the weather forecast
BBC have just updated the forecast to more or less match YR.NO

I honestly think we have one day left cause when it rains in Dhaka it rains

What price Ban out for less than 250 in 65 overs leaving NZ an hundred and odd in 25??

Should NZ be odds on??

NZ 100 odd in 25 would have NZ at 1.20 surely. In fact probably less but this market can be fickle.

it's definitely a tricky one with tomorrow's forecast. NZ should be able to roll them today, but depends on the weather tomorrow. Depends what time that rain hits!

If NZ can just get say 3 wickets today (big ask I guess) then its all on for tomorrow. The game is not over till its over. That said... tomorrow... brings in the rain factor.

Wish the Bangers would speed things along now they reached the total... Don't mind wickets would like to see NZ have to chase 200.

draw surely hanging on for a collapse and that's it.

barring that a target of about 170 in 60 odd overs seems a fair prediction, and then you've got the rain to worry about.

mmm, not in a rush really are they, happy to play for a draw. I have backed NZ at $6 and again now at 9.

a terrible day for those hoping for a result but a big day for bangladeshi test cricket imho.

iqbal has never scored a half century with a lower strike rate than he did today, which along with Haque's patient ton, they have secured bangladesh a drawn series.

the first step to becoming a good test cricketing side is learning how not to lose matches and they deserve great praise for how they batted today.

Agree Dstyle... No good for me! haha but a mature performance from the Banglas.

DStyle thought exactly the same myself. They have matured as a Test nation, their patience over the last two tests has been unexpected.

australia would do well to take a leaf out of their book Cool

as long as they keep talking nonsense about playing attacking cricket they'll continue to get a hiding off the better sides

At least the Bangas don't resort to time wasting and staid painful play like you soap dodgers.

that's all that you've got really isn't it?

a few gripes about england's attitrional style. it has some legitimacy for a side with aspirations to be the best in the world, but can you really ignore the series results?

australia's largest problem is that they think they are so much better than they are. they are weak and inconsistent. they have moments, but not enough. really not too different from pakistan.

England did Australia without getting out of second gear last summer - the Aussies seem to be convincing themselves that there

isn't much between the teams - in fact there is a huge gulf. Like your comment re Pakistan DStyle - imo Pakistans bowling is way

superiorLaugh

just been reading this:

http://www.espncricinfo.com/australia/content/current/story/682037.html

of course dropping Katich was a huge mistake. I'd have no qualms about his playing in the last series or this one coming up. Mentally he's as tough as old boots and if playing Rogers in the last series wasn't admission of guilt, i don't know what was.

but the shocking thing about the article is the crap coming out of Sutherland's mouth. The problem is a lack of test batting talent, an inconsistent bowling attack combined with capricious selection and a captain that half the side hate.

No-one at cricket Australia should be in the slightest bit concerned about getting "the Australian team get back on top". They first of all need to stop being sh1t.  Once you've passed that milestone you can start thinking about becoming good. There is far too much belief in a bad side, and a reluctance to admit that the greatness of the last two decades is but a speck of dust in the rear view mirror.

ponting has absolutely slaughtered the chief exec sutherland in his book. only interested in generating money for CA and not the (dire) state of the national team

ludicrous half the team is currently going around india on a completely pointless 1 day series just a few weeks before the ashes recommences

Put some of my draw green on Bangla in case we get a decent amount of play and they roll NZ on a day 5 pitch.

can't believe the draw is 1.04. The covers are on, Nz need 7 wickets, then knock off the runs & more rain is forecast!
