what are the rules regarding min overs and time they can play until ?
By:
20 overs, cut off time 7-30, I THINK ? .

Are they playing in the rain again?

England need the rain to save them.

Yer SoA....... by the looks of it, we'll have a big delay in the middle the come back on later tonight and try and finish the game. Very 50/50 i reckon. But the cmm odds of yes will be very backable about 5/5.30ish i reckon.
By:
what is it in these, 15 or 20 overs for cmm?
By:
Forecast is steady rainfall and increasing around 6pm. Not sure where the value betting completed match yes is!
By:
If you ask me, its this type of situation where it rains for long enough and the umpires call it off even when there is a chance of play later.
By:
they tend not to come out again til it has stopped anyway
By:
There is at least 3 hours of rain, and then a bit of time to clear the ground, is that enough for play? Not sure.

This market appears to be heading in the wrong direction.

Odds against completed no. Charge!
By:
its just speculators. Another hour or two of rain and this will become cmm no.
By:
people panic when they dont see any play.
By:
reduced overs can only penalise England given the dismal rr
By:
I really don't understand why the odds should favour the match being completed after they go off for rain.
By:
Does the think they will come back later and complete a straight 25 overs. Other than that possibility i just dont get the price.

See another 3 hours rain yeah? How long does it take to clear the water? Typical UK response is 2 hours. There is 5 hours gone out of a 7.5 hour game, where 1.5 already played?
Need at least 2 hours of play to get this game to 20 overs a side. Yeah? |
By:
Another 5 overs for England + 20 overs for Australia. They will require another 2 hours and 10 minutes + preparation time for the match to be completed.
By:
1.7 is crazy is it not...i am seriously the other way
By:
Play stops at 21.45 so, that means they would have to be on the pitch by around 7.30 and with the rain having stopped at around 6.40.
By:
The rain has therefore, 2 hrs and 42 minutes to stop.
By:
simple maths.

By:

By:
Assuming first ball bowled within 50 minutes of the rain stopping. Can't see it happening after 3 hours of rain.
By:
Besides, England would have to bowl 20 overs. Given their position, that would take the best part of 2.5 hours, plus Australias 5 overs, and a 10 minute changeover. That is 3 hours.
By:
6.40 Prepare pitch
7.30 Match restarts 7.51 Interval 8.01 Australia innings starts 9.45 Match finish Rain after that time = no cmm. |
By:
just topped up on NO COMPLEATED !

I cant see them getting back on before 7 at the earliest....heavy no here...
By:
The aussies wont be chasing a big score...... they might only need 30 mins to chase down the target :)
