Big innings for the Yorkie pair here.

Not used to this ground. Is our score disastrously low, or do we have every chance of skittling Oz out for the same figure?

All the talk of the run rates today - I do think England have been unecessarily tardy in the last couple of hours and that has allowed Oz to get on top. New ball due soon to finish off the tail enders.

well drs was not brought in for that but it was a good throw of the dice for Aus.

Funny thing is though Dar thought he knicked it so I say there was not enough evidence to over turn the on field umpires decision as hot spot is not conclusive!

But is was probably out so wtf

Run rate is one thing, but it's another turning the scoreboard over and rotating strike, even if it's just one run an over. England just haven't done that. And it's allowed some pressure to build.

why are they so passive?

Don't worry treble,

England score still ahead of Aussie par, which will be around 150Laugh

with such a low score, draw should be 20's

When did Bairstow last score a run - I think it was about 4.20?

It look's like England have gone into the game with a draw in mind - always dangerous

you dont get a draw playing like this in the 1st innings

Five runs off the last 11 overs.  Someone shoot me.  What kind of game are these jokers playing at?  The cunning "deer in headlights and wait to be skittled by the new ball" trick?

You can't score runs in the changing room.

An umpire would have never given that before DRS despite it being the correct call.

I've been largely underwhelmed by us all series to be honest. It's great to have retained the Ashes, but really, we're not as good as we're made out. And today had been symptomatic of that.

havent been looking at the betting all day, how and when did the draw go down to 2.44?? mental.

Think I'd rather have Joe Root as 6.  He still has plenty to learn and was doing alright there.  I know he is an opener but.  The only problem is who to open?

Attack is the best form of defence for me. How many times do you see Real Madrid or Barca score 2 goals in the first 10 minutes, fanny around for 50 minutes and then get done for a draw late on when they could have scored 7.

Earlyish. Then stayed down there when about 100-1.
