its one of those weather systems in which a gap/rain area on the radar is not very predictable, appearing/disappearing quickly.

Problem is now that there's been enough rain to discount an instant restart. I reckon they will probably take 30 minutes to faff about waiting for the outfield to dry now when it does stop.

rain has stopped but they can't be bothered to inspect the pitch for 20 mins. then they'll wait at least half an hour. so every rain delay equals a 50 minute minimum stop..

What will count against a CM could be the regulations. Umpires aren't allowed to show common sense and offer a T20 game to the captains when there's a chance of a 40/40 or similar.
