draw train departing... all aboard.....
By:
one session gone already
By:
Plenty of confident layers. The 90 mins to sort outfield is a major issue here

Tuesday really does look terrible
By:
You could be right Nigel, absolutely bouncing down here, only a few miles away.
By:
Terrible for who? not me

By:
don't get me wrong I'm a fan of laying the draw but cold temperatures, no floodlights and persistent rain doesn't bode well.
By:
The draw went out from 1.91 to 2.2 after the BBC weather guy came on TMS to say that the rain will stop at midday, and then the two afternoon bands will pass above and below Headingley, hence we look very lucky after lunch and for the rest of the day (his words not mine)
By:
Having said that I would rather have the opportunity to trade on innings runs etc
By:
BBC weather guy? i thought Gower said that?
![]() |
By:
Oh right TMS is the radio
![]() |
By:
if engloand bat 1st the draw is a free back.. if nz bat it could be 10's by the close of play
By:
No Aston,
The radio is TMS! |
By:
anyone know what happened to the ' toss combination ' and 'play today? Y/N' markets ? they don't seem to be available , used to like trading them...
hard to say how much play we get today , i'd say 30-40 overs or something like this |
By:
apparently the weather is coming in from the west, its not rained all morning here on the wirral, apparently dry in manchester.
hopefully means we get a session or two in. |
By:
They have brought forward lunch even though it's still raining. Have topped up my back of England hoping to be able to lay off sometime over the weekend.
By:
fingers crossed new zealand win the toss and bat, they should be lunching now.
By:
r u laying the draw stew?
By:
yes king, and a small back of england.
its ruining my day this being rained off this morning, although it was inevitable. |
By:
suns out in leeds from what it says on my twitter feed
By:
why dont the do the toss now, instead of pissing about for an hour when the ground is ready
By:

By:

quote
Anyone sitting on a hilltop overlooking Headingley should be coining it. like me. some folk talking some dreadful rubbish on here. all those spouting play after lunch, play till 7. come and take a look |
By:
not spouting uncle was articulated via tms which came from the metoffice, but reiterates how unpredictable the weather is in England
![]() |
By:
Not looking good now....heavy rain 10 miles from the ground.....very unpredictable.
Thing is there's supposed to be more rain around 4 o'clock so if they got the ground ready that would finish it off? |
By:
looks like the showers going north of leeds but yes very unpredictable
By:
Washout imo.
Don't know why they bother having tests in England in May. Same every year. |
By:
PTTT is a notorious ramper. He was just the same before I left BF 2 years ago. Just ignore him.
