This is very bad news, I arbed India 4-0 25/1 at some bookie shops for a large amount of money and it's going to come in. Don't think I'll be welcome back at those shops again.

By:
I can't get bets on anywhere now, not online, not on the phone, not in shops. Life is so unfair.

Draw has come in substantially the last 4 hours. Weather worries, but the forecast amount is small for Friday, basically a few showers at most.
By:
What time is play lunch?
By:
Don't often get involved in cricket but the draw is a must lay surely. Forecast really ain't bad.
By:
What forecast are you looking at? The one I looked at suggests they should play a whole lot moe than that.
By:
Forecasts I've looked at show showers late in the day, even the one above only says showers, even if they're right shouldn't lose much time. So often a forecast of showers turns out to be nothing anyway.
By:
India v Australia, Mohali 04.00 - Another Test of two halves looks likely here. However in this instance Thursday and Friday will see the greatest risk of showers, but even these should be fairly well scattered, with the weekend and Monday currently set to be fine and dry. Expect top temps in the mid to upper 20's, with mainly low to moderate humidity outside rain/showers.

have been instances of poor light curtailing days play, but floodlights now installed

Market over reacting to the prospect of rain IMO. Mohali aint Dunedin.
By:
Not just that :
http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/ground/57991.html?class=1;template=results;type=aggregate 10 games - 5 draws! |
By:
Just had a look at the last match played here, India Australia 2010. Watson got a century and Johnson a 5-for.
lol |
By:
The pitch has become a benign batting surface coupled with the prospect of rain there is a reduction in draw price. This may reduce further if Convicts bat first. Wait and see as usual!
By:
Proper deluge likely tomorrow now.
By:
Pitch is dry already according to cricinfo with little grass. There may still be mileage in a result. Lets see what happens re the weather.
And oh yes. Atfer winning £500 at Headingley last summer I put it all on a match in Jamaica but the Hurricane came 3 hours too late! I shot the long odds and missed! It was my biggest bucks Hail Mary but have lost much more on a single match but not due to the weather. |

yep!
I nearly had it off! Would have made founsands. It rained just after lunch. NZ threw it away the previous evening. If they had batted another 45 runs I think I would have been saved by the rain! btw the new Bradman is out in NZ! |

But the new Compton is looking like the old Compton without the brylcream. For those of you born in colour that is gel.

The equation is: West Indies need 71 runs, New Zealand need six wickets. The other thing occupying West Indies cricket fans' minds over the past couple of days has been the weather, especially the progress of tropical storm Ernesto. The good news is the sun is out and the rain is staying away for now. When it does arrive, expect it to wipe out huge amounts of play.
That was it Nicky. NZ should have made another 50 odd runs in their second innings and that would have given me enough time for the rain dance to have been effective. To make matters worse Kemar Roach piled in with a quickfire 40 . If he had gone early Windies may have batted more cautiously and lunch would have also saved me. Nil desperandum! |
