another great day for draw backers . we don't even have to get up early tomorrow , the draw is assured . mug indian bowlers look toothless .

i am little p1ssed off to say the least.
I backed aus at about 150/1 when Dhawan was on about 115 no I knew they would be trying to set something tricky to chase rather than playing for the draw, if they got India out for about parity i probably would have got single figures for that bet ![]() can only see an india win from here. the draw is a stupid price. |

I think Lyon will go early and Hughes looks shaky which leaves an injured Clarke, Haddin and Henriques to save Australia.
Wicket starting to turn. Hmm tempted to get on India... |

Answer: Would have been a smarter choice to lay the draw when it was 1.20 then, no??? That way you would have had both Aus and Ind in play... |
By:
The match is finely balanced, the key for me will be if Australia play scoring shots or just decide to block. If they play to score runs and can get up to 270+ and build a lead that will be enough to save the match, as time will run out to chase that down.
By:
Think the draw still the play here tbh. 98 overs in the day, aus only 3 wickets and 16 runs down. A lot probably depends on Clarke's injury but you know he;ll bat if aus need him to. As said earlier, as long as aus keep ticking the runs over they should take enough time out of the game to set up a chase beyond India.
By:
Quite a large move down in India price, probably due to MC's back problem. Might not be justified. But still think India win from here. But just trading my India/Draw green up and down.
By:
got to have a little punt on india and go to bed.. just think if hughes goes in the first half hour.. which side of the market do you want to be on?
By:
works both ways though - no wicket/only Lyon's wicket in the first hour odd and the draw price will crash massively. Particularly if Clarke walks in and settles. Pitch doesnt have too much in it, just about whether aus have it mentally imo - we'll find out in a few hours time.

Brave man to back the draw IMO
Aus. are three wickets away from folding.... Throw in the added pressure of saving the match Clarke with a bung back...the fact they have rolled over in the 2nd dig of the previous two tests. and did i mention their batting aint very good? And draw backers just when you think you are out of the woods if things go right and Aus can bat another 50ish overs Clarke is a ballsy captain who will not play for a draw.... Dont be surprised to see a declaration with India facing 50 overs needing 3.5 to 4 an over to win it. |
By:
Cant see an attacking declaration myself. To leave 3.5/4 an over for 50 overs would require aus to score at 4-5 an over themselves. More likely to score at 3/3.5 an over you'd think in which case batting near enough 2 sessions should put the game beyond india. First part of the post is fair enough though - is this aus lineup good enough to bat 55+ overs on day 5 to save a test? Hopefully they are!
By:
I hear you OTB... IMO opinion Oz will fold if they just try and stay out there...they are just not good enough...
the 4 batesman left plus Starc are all attacking and will want to play their natural game....if they are good enough to last 55 overs....which i doubt... i reckon they will be going at 3.5 plus..... Clarke has the balls to set 180 ish off 50 to 45 overs i believe. |

get sweating on that draw!! its been way to short all through the game. Even though the first day was washed out, the game will only end up losing 30/40 overs.
By:
Really strange games, Eng v Nz & Aus v Ind. The draw was way too long on the NZ game and too short in this. Strange how the betfair market works. Always nice to get some value anyway!

Another bad decision by Aleem Dar, not having a very good match. At least he has made one mistake per team.
By:
You could have got 2.5 on India around start of play. I was already decent green on India and the draw, and no point in tempting fate on the last day.
Morse gets another one right. |
By:
"Morse gets another one right."
How do you figure this?? |
By:
worth a cheeky couple of quid on oz now @ 75. Draw looks less likely than oz win. These two could get a quick 50/75 and give the Indians a tricky 125/150 chase

clarkes wicket was a no ball
By:
hughes was very unlucky ball clearly going done leg side
By:
why are india 1/6, should be way shorter odds
By:
one thing to consider is, if Australia bat all the next session, the overs for the day will virtually be bowled out. Therefore Oz can bowl really slowly until the final hour (15 overs minimum). Therefore pushing the game forward, India could need 180 off 15 overs in the last hour & maybe 10 with Oz bowling slowly. Could still be interesting!

anyone see the clarke wicket, jadeja was clearly on the line so it should be no ball
