if the wicket is really all 'cracked-up' and waiting to deteriorate later on then fancy Evens the pair if, and only if, Eng bat past whatever is reached in the morning. Aint trading this so have absolutely no interest whatsoever in the Draw at 3/1. Layed at SP and there it will remain in my book.

So as i avert a potential disaster due to a certain lionel messi, i focus my attentions on my back of the draw at 3.25, which I'm bitterly disappointed at as at the start of the day i was all for laying the draw! Hoping for lanka to bat till lunch tomorrow and take it from there, probably more wishful than probable though

just up. good morning for england

Some of that has been given back again. Seem to have settled at around 3.90/3.95 at lunch. Wickets have gone down relatively quickly this morning and for not too many runs. Draw still seems quite short to me, we will need some weather to intervene and lose some overs.

Cannot for the life of me understand why Eng are so short
By:
England will go odds on in this innings. market love.
By:
trying to get my head round how low England can go if they bat well, i wouldn't have thought they'd be over 3.0 runs per over by end of innings.
By:
imo, england will bring scores level around this time tomorrow. thats if all goes to plan mind. I can't see this been a innings with a high run rate, find it difficult to score off of the spin.
By:
yep that will be main issue, you would think if they do get say 375 it will take around 4 1/2 sessions which would take the game close to end of play day3
That said made a bright start. Suppose part of it will depend who sticks hand up and gets the runs regards runrate |
By:
which way should the draw price move, the longer england bat?
By:
The 3.6 were going at currently is going to come down but I would expect our RR to stay above 3. We will need 3 sessions to be in front. I think by this stage tomorrow were be very close assuming still in. Will then be dependent on how we have got on.

drop

Thanks for that, all seems to be nicely poised here imo.
By:
not a lot for the SL seamers....
By:
draw could potentially go something silly, maybe 2.7 Soduku, but I don't think it will, I think there'll be s steadyish flow of wickets
By:
think Englands run rate here will be less than 3 by the end of the innings
reckon will take around 100 overs for parity and thats why the draw is still a big runner in this match only my opinion though |
By:
Jaya not adding much useful here.
By:
Ahh ok thanks, i still believe that lanka cannot bowl england out twice to win this game IF england bat sensibly, and thats a big if!
Would completely agree worcester. If it take that long for england to be level, your looking at them batting on to at least the end of the day tomorrow, maybe even into day four, and at that stage, time becomes a big player. Of course, all dependant on england not been rolled over! |

By:
on that small sample the average, the average make England cricket fan has bigger t@ts than his female counterpart FACT!

Don't really see England's run rate being an issue regarding getting a result. Having dismissed Lanka in less than 4 sessions at a low run rate, they've given themselves plenty of room for manoeuvre in that respect.
They can bat as slow as they like for as long as they like imo, if it means Lanka have to bat last. |
By:
england out for 500ish end of day 3 leaving sri lanka 5 sessions to save the match
By:
pitch so slow
By:
england getting nowhere near 500 by end of day 3
By:
dodgy time for strauss now
made so many of these 20s and 30s recently |
By:
344 in 4.5 sessions? They'll surely have got to 500 comfortably by the end of day 3 if they're still batting then.
By:
500 at end of day 4 maybe, can't see it at end of day 3.

rare to see a market so stagnant!
