There we go!
By:
This has been the Aussie problem all series, people make half starts but get out before scoring heavily.
By:
will WI touch 1.7 again?
By:
Will Aus touch 2 again?

GSM - please collect.

these people that criticise Sammys individual stats need to take a look at WI results before he became captain and after. They also need to look at matches he influences. WI way better with him than without him
By:
there are too many people attached to stats from an era when test cricket dominated the game. I heard someone the other day quote a No6's ODI average - totally irrelevant - strike rate is what you want to look at
By:
what about Jonathan Trott? surely his average is more important than strike rate?
By:
yes to him
By:
I'm saying you cant just take a one dimensional look at averages. Someone lower down that is capable of scoring 20 of 8 balls is a valuable commodity for the two most popular forms of the game. So if his average is 15 - who cares; it's irrelevant.
By:
hi frnds give me a link for live telecast
By:
That's a fair comment but I don't think you can say that batting averages are irrelevant.
By:
Do I think Sammy is a top notch all round cricketer - no.
DO I think he is a good test cricketer - no. Do I think his contribution is capable of winning a limited overs match - yes. Do I think he is capable of scoring at 175 strike rate plus - yes. Do I think he is a good West Indies captain - yes |
By:
I didnt say batting averages were irrelevant - I said too many people were attached to stats - especially in limited overs. Obviously a test average of 50 means something.
By:
I heard someone the other day quote a No6's ODI average - totally irrelevant
By:
the batting average of a ODI NO6 is irrelevant nowadays - I stand by that comment
By:
Aus looks tempting at 3.1 now... Over to over comparision shows that WI hardly scored at over 4 till 40th over.. Aus ahead in runs... but 2 wickets more than WI at this stage of match...!!!
By:
fair enough corridor

By:
thank u shahh
By:
well with the windies anything is possible..
By:
i recon this will be close one with Wi winning in the end...
By:
ay... stuck on Aussis for now... will get out sub 2.0 if it gets there :)
By:
narine could be the key
By:
Wow...all Aussies have all got out to pretty much nothing deliveries
By:
Same problem though, make a start then get out.
By:
haha...another wide delivery picks up a wicket!
By:
bloody caught mid trade....big loss here now 4 me..
By:
game over probably
those 2 wickets surely final nail in Aussies coughin |
By:
this is pretty much over. 1.13 is huge
By:
Narine is going to be massive in the IPL. So hard to pick and score off.
By:
How is that a wide?

By:
I know! what a joke
By:
Been a fair few drops today
By:
Hussey holding the price up here. Don't fancy anything after that.
By:
WI need to be careful here, don't want Aus to get back to a run a ball
