bit early to be declaring it a 2 horse race. can't rule out notts and somerset. notts will surely batter worcester and will have their injured batsmen back when the championship resumes after the 20/20 and somerset will have thomas and murali back after the indian circus. huge misses. effectively been playing without a spinner all season (mendis doesn't count).

No Harmy for Durham but Lancs batting line up doesn't inspire. You must have a better player in the Lancs league than Chilts, shirley?
|
|
By:
probably, but i dont think anyone has the same incriminating photos though [;)]
decent score in the end 'lancs league' is arguably the worst of the leagues in the area now, standard has dropped massively in the last decade ![]() |

i think the county champioship has massively dropped in the last decade
Would any of the current Lancs team get in to the Lancs team of 15-20 yrs ago - yet this lancs team has won 5/6 |
|
By:
it's just a very average side having a good run. very unlikely they'll keep it going. won 4 out of 4 at the result wicket at liverpool. maybe they shouldn't bother messing about with the wicket at old trafford.
|
|
By:
Only won 3 out of 3 at Liverpool Mafe, 2 out of 3 away and should have won the other after Sussex followed on 300 behind. Margins of victory are:-
Inns and 55 runs. Inns and 20 runs. 147 runs. 6 wckts. 10 wckts. Haven't fluked anything and really should be 6/6. Do agree however, that it's unlikely we'll keep that level of performance going but we may not need to. |

5 wins from the first 6 takes a lot of giving away for any side. 4 wins from the last 10 and it's yours surely.

Durham 279/3 (71.0 ov) ![]() I'll repeat what I said the other day: :: I'd love three days of rain in Durham :: I've backed Durham at 5/6 DNB :: I've backed Durham at 9/4 for the title |

Nottinghamshire 326 & 216
Lancashire 306 & 32/0 HOOJ day tomorrow. We need another 205 runs on a wicket that's doing quite a bit for the new ball, but the tail-enders on both sides have had some fun. I think we'll lose, but if we win... |

Well on the way. laid us just to make sure.

Durham win the toss and will bowl
![]() The wicket is said to be "very soft and green". All the best to Messrs Horton, Moore, Brown, Chilton, Croft, Procter, Cross, Khan, Hogg, Mahmood and Keedy. |

pitch looks very green playing into durham's hands with their attack. surely you'd not be unhappy with a draw ? suppose it's not easy to prepare flat track at liverpool

pitch inspectors are a joke. can't remember the last time they took any action for preparing a greentop. |
