I was a contractor , a specialist . In theory I wasn’t meant to do any hands on work just give advice
But you see America and the U.K. governments and companies had certain arrangements , maybe still do I don’t know
Visas weren’t a problem .
By:
Charlie
When: 07 Jan 20 19:22
Whether a contractor or a specialist you still needed a work visa. The USA have rules about working there.

Holidays are fine Charlie , but to get to know a country and it’s people ?
You have to live and work there

With Americans nothing was ever a problem , they got things done with no fuss , very competent people
And good workers , and fun to socialise with , best times of my working life

And I looked around and thought I was in heaven , it was like that

Never been a fan of Gervais but I wonder if his rant can be the start of a comedy backlash against the PC brigade. The left have generally lined up to attack authority in support of virtue signalling by celebrity leftists but this could signal a change of fashion direction in comedy.

Well I'm not a fan of Gervais, never have been, quite the opposite in fact.

But, I'm going to defend him here. This wasn't a stand up routine, whether you found any of it funny or not doesn't matter, it wasn't meant to be funny.
He was just holding up a massive mirror to all those t.w@ts in the audience, and sticking 2 fingers up to the rancid establishment crippled by political correctness.
So, good on him.

Who knows if it'll make any difference, maybe encourage some others to stick their neck out and call out these lunatics. We can only hope.

Why are you worried about the monarchy they gave no power . You have just had 3 years of the  Labour Party and the liberals trying to defy a democratic vote . Starmer and some other of the criminals are now standing to be leaders of the Labour Party
The ****** should be arrested and in prison.

I was waiting for this article. As usual, everyone thinks he acted outside of his boundaries when, in fact, it was all scripted. He even looks like he is reading from a teleprompter. Thanks VC, you never disappoint.

I thought the same thing, that Gervais had the blessing of the Hollyweird thugs, or they would have run him off the stage. The celebrities he insulted went on to spew their usual virtual signaling garbage. We peons are supposed to tune in now because it’s so enjoyable watching the little gods being insulted. They’re doing the same thing on SNL, trying to regain lost ratings. I would rather have a root canal than watch the degenerate darlings of the commie Left who despise regular Americans. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me teice, shame on me. May your movies, TV shows, and popularity continue to tank.
