Cummings is there to keep the civil servants in check; & when an election is called, the Tories might not need Farage given the way Labour is playing into Bozos hands. That could change of course & Bozo would dump Cummings in a heartbeat

Might not need anything if the latest reports from France are true and come to fruition

What odds? The swamp is being drained and the Tory traitors are jumping before they are pushed. If Cummings proves to be a liability, surely he will jump / be pushed to? What happened to that Campbell Wayne Kerr?

|
By:
We know who the traitors are now
And they will be dealt with in the harshest possible way ![]() |

From the Andrew Marr show this morning ......
Q: Are you comfortable with a pact between the Brexit party and the Tories? We don’t need an electoral alliance with anyone, Javid insists. We need to heal society, he added. But he repeatedly refused to rule out an electoral alliance with the Brexit party. We don’t need it, he repeated. We are a proud centre-right party, we are not extremist, Javid added. |

The worry is that if Prime Minster Johnson lets the extension happen and then calls an election, that action will severely dent the Conservative support because he will not have delivered on his promise for leaving on 31st October. Proportionately you imagine the Brexit Party's share will increase meaning a coalition of the two much more likely and then could they PLEASE repeal the traitor bill which will likely get royal assent tomorrow, meaning we can revert to NO DEAL being back on the table.
I still think the prerogative should be considered even though its use will likely be submitted for judicial review by the traitors. |

I'm reminded a bit of the 80s with the Tories. The Thatcher fringe and the Wets.
I wouldn't underestmate the Brexit Party. They are not all right wing free market racists. It is an option for the government though if they did enter into such a deal, the right candidate standing for the Brexit Party wolud certainly split the Labour vote. A lot of factors to consider though. Would enough Labout voters change their support, is Brexit their overarching issue against all the other areas that means they vote Labour above other parties, notwithstanding a natural deep distrust of the Tories? What happends after that, as the Brexit Party are really only a single issue pressure group. Just because the London political and media bubble frame an election as a 2nd referendum, it doesn't necessarily mean voters see it as that. Looks like the angle though is for the Prime Minister to pitch it as a parliament v people issue, with him as the victim. This though is really hard to call. It is a given to neither side. Both have valid points while both also have very arrogant nay stupid positions. Finally, how many will not vote, being fed up entirely with the mess? |

the Tory support will not will not be dented, it will strengthen; the supporters know who is to blame if we do not leave, & it isn't Bozo

Good moaning to EvgenyKissin, that is!

I disagree with that, Leops. He presents a very balanced show and always gives remainers a chance to state their opinions without shouting them down, unlike Mr O'Brien does with leavers.
