I used to dine out on these stories by taking the p!ss out of them- I used to portray the image of polar bears floating down the thames looking for food and other classics. I am VERY disappointed.

I wonder why ??? Not.  Only about 12 minutes of your life required to get a grip on what a scam this really is. Simple explanations shown in a very basic format so even those who are mentally challenged can comprehend it. Newton’s Third Law of Motion: “For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.” An aluminium plane hitting a thick steel beam will have the same effect as steel beam being swung at the same speed and hitting the plane. It makes no difference which one is moving as to the effect on the plane and the beam. In both cases the thick steel beam will do damage to the plane and the beam will emerge relatively undamaged. The faster the speed at the point of impact, the more damage that will be done to the plane. Try punching a steel girder. No matter how fast your hand is traveling, you will not be able to break through it; you will eventually break your hand. It matters not if the girder is swung at your hand or you swing your hand at the girder; assuming the impact is at the same speed, the injury to your hand would be the same. Now i dont think Mr Newton has had to amend those laws just yet unless he hasnt received mexicos updated version  So now then, you explain to me how on earth commercial airliners can dissapear into steel frame structures while making a wile e coyote shaped hole The ball is now in your court |

As our new resident physics expert please explain this to me. Place a 10 ton block of steel on the ground. Climb a ladder and drop from 10' onto the block. You'll accelerate due to gravity. Now you stand on the ground and get a crane to hoist the 10 ton block above you and then drop it on you. It will accelerate at the same speed. It would seem to me that the block dropping on you would do a lot more damage to you than when you dropped on the block even though both speeds were the same. Why is that? You've had over two-months to try and come up with an answer and you can't. |

If a formula one car or indeed an Indie car hits a steel constructed barrier at arond 200 mph whats happens ? Does the car disappear. Does it vaporise ?
