poor result for Nige really; he needed more Tories to switch
but he redeemed himself by upstaging the nutcase on her best day |

labour asked for the moslem vote, i think they got it, should have had the election on a friday. cheers.

I'm sure as more working class northerners get to read the BP manifesto and see what Nigel has in store for them (think Thatcher in the 80's but without the kindness) via the decimation of the little manufacturing industries left for instance, the brexit party will go from strength to strength amongst it's core support of OAP's. This is most def not a huge opportunity lost.
By:
They haven't got a Manifesto. And the snake oil salesman says they're not going to have one.
By:
Facts spouting " snake oil salesman" jibe which he uses on every occasion..Not an original thought in his entire noggin.

They haven't got a Manifesto. And the snake oil salesman says they're not going to have one.
That's rum coming from a Labour supporter who must realise his party prostitute themselves to the Pakistanis for one reason only which is to secure votes. The smell in politics is sickening. |

By:
Brexit party founded January 2019
Labour February 1900. Why is JC conceding thousands of votes to a political newborn? |
By:
Interpretation of election results is going the way of school sports, everyone is a winner.
By:
Plus health and safety becoming a huge concern when campaigning and voting. Everyone needs to be in high viz and safety gear imo.

Sounds like Labour won this one at the cost of postal votes being scrutinised in the future.

By:
just the same dogwhistling from the totally new party and not UKIP 2.0

I spy a petition:
"Mohammed Choudhary, Tariq Mahmood, and Maqboor Hussain have all been previously convicted and served sentences for defrauding postal votes. Mohammed Choudhary has been allowed to canvas for votes in the June 2019 Peterborough By Election and has been pictured when results came through. Given past offences and a significant increase in postal votes giving labour the seat I demand that all postal votes are investigated fully." https://www.change.org/p/men-previously-convicted-on-postal-vote-fraud-employed-by-labour-during-this-by-election-investigate-the-postal-votes-that-were-counted-in-the-peterborough-by-election |
By:
And they aren't wrong, previous conviction for postal vote rigging in Peterborough:
https://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/news/environment/vote-rigging-former-mayor-jailed-1-97158 ""They were able to get hold of postal and proxy votes which belonged to voters in the Central Ward," said Anthony Leonard QC. "They arranged for postal and ballot papers to be sent not to the voter but to addresses with which each defendant was connected." |
By:
Just a coincidence.
By:
There will be you'd hope statistics available as to what % of votes are normally postal, what % are postal in a bye-election?
If there are significantly more than normal / the way they voted is significantly different to the non postal votes, that should raise huge alarm bells. Are such statistics available? |

PMSL at the Mugs on this Page
![]() A dreadful Result for Remoaners with 17000 plus Votes for Leave parties , The Mugs cant Even count ![]() ![]() |

By:
Brexit Party will only be voted for on the "brexit" stuff
By:
The lady who won went with Local Issues ,ran a Good campaign yet Just about got home against a newly formed party
By:
the newly formed party whinges just like ukip
same blame game, same postal vote complaints new party, lol |
By:
They Aint done Bad on a vote that was regarding Peterborough and not Brexit ?
By:
As stated 17000 Plus Votes for Leave Parties , Do the Math and the Real result of a Vote that does not even concern Brexit
is quite astonishing . |
By:
16000 , plus remain votes in 63% leave seat which would suggest any seat between 50 and 62% leave would vote for remain thinking party,s, that's before you remove any brexiteers who are against no deal,70% of country against leaving without a deal
shows why brexiteers are against 2nd reff, general election,or any revue of a 3 yr old vote |
By:
48% turn out would also suggest with Brexit party standing more leavers would turn out to vote than leavers, bigger turn out more remain vote out in all probability
By:
You appear to have forgotten that Quite a few Labour Voters voted to leave , As stated a very good campaign was ran by the winner Regarding Local issues ... Yet there was still a Massive protest Vote
By:
I,m assuming in a 63% Brexit seat the great Brexit guru farage got all the labour leavers if he didn't he,s in a worse position than we thought
By:
It's simple. If there is no Brexit, then the TBP has the potential to cause a fair amount of disruption, for all traditional parties. Tory or Labour, there needs to be a Brexit.
By:
If it's true (and many sources say it is) that the Peterborough labour party will happily take back a man who has spent time in jail for blatant electoral fraud (15 month sentence was it?) and put him back in their organisation and have him at their electoral count .. that's pretty damned shameless is it not? They'll kick Campbell out of the party for saying be supported the LDs but have as an activist a convicted pro-Labour vote rigger? I'm sure they'd be first to complain if a Brexit or Tory campaigner had done time for that and was allowed back into the fold.
More I think about it more I'm wondering why that isn't major news. Imagine the Brexit party had a convicted vote rigger in their fold, I'm sure the BBC wouldn't be shy about pointing THAT out. The woman voted in was interviewed by Neil on the election night and came across as pretty thick, but that's the sort of person I'd imagine who will get through a post corbyn selection procedure.. |
By:
is there no ends the 'elite' will stoop to, to stop Farage? He is single handedly taking on the 2 main protagonists of libtard Britain, & of course the MM. Yet they are still petrified of him. For that reason only; whichever way your winkle lays, everyone should applaud the man
By:
if Brexit is delivered no way will farage and his band of c,d list business men, celebs hang around to fight an election,so if farage really wants a commons seat why didn't he sit in Peterborough, maybe his ego couldn't take another Westminster election defeat
By:
considering it was seen as a 1st rate chance to win a seat; & they were long odds on to do so, do you not think there was another reason he didn't stand?
By:
there could be a by election elsewhere soon with another recall petition in place.
chance that party will even stand the same candidate whos offence triggered the recall... funny old world |
By:
aye it is, Donny
Farage has his eyes somewhere else |
By:
considering it was seen as a 1st rate chance to win a seat; & they were long odds on to do so, do you not think there was another reason he didn't stand?
an MP will be required to vote on issues other than just Brexit. Nige is a one-trick pony |
