i have always loved the way this girl plays tennis; but she has suffered a lot with injuries over the last couple of years. Slowly making her way back up the rankings & played well towards the end of last season. Won the Hopman cup with Federer last January & is now (today) starting their defence of it. Looked a bit podgy to me all through the summer but now looks lean & mean. I foresee an excellent year ahead for the Swiss lady if she stays injury free.

Should be ranked much higher than she is, but hard to predict how good a year she will have yet, as her career has massively stalled last few years, injuries haven't helped, but she also hasn't really played that well when she's had stretches either. She started last year in a fashion that people thought she was back iirc and would be returning to top 10 but it flamed out pretty quickly so wouldn't draw too many conclusions yet.

i'm not drawing any conclusions; i "foresee" a good year for her if she stays injury free. I've already said she was podgy last summer (for whatever reason) & a child could have won with Federer. I never thought once she was any where near her best last season, so whoever thought she was going to return to top 10 should stick to baseball. She looks fitter already to me, so unlike some, i would rather be positive & expect good things from her than doubt her before she had hit a ball
