baffling case and not sure either way of his innocence. I do remember his wife replying a couple of months ago when asked if he was innocent "Yes, i'm sure he is. Unless the Foreign Office know something"? Which i thought strange at the time

there's also the fact the FO told his family to tread quietly and they would deal with it? That's why it's only been 'newsworthy' for a couple of months

Very little comment on Saudi Arabia or the UAE from the usual suspects on here. Trump's and the Tories arslickan of these rogue states simply doesn't compute.

- it's the irony though - virtually untouchable - however - when we get the right batteries it will certainly decrease the significance of the oil nations

Why would anyone go there? Bound to get arrested for something. They have horse racing where you can't bet!

This fella is either a spy or he's clean. Given that spies are somewhat rare I'd say the latter.

In the old days Great Britain would of sent a gunboat up the Persian Gulf and given Johnny Foreigner a right good thrashing. Now, to get even, the Great British Government will phart in an eastwards direction and shout "Yah boo sucks"!

It was a joke based on the thread comments personal squabbles with anonymous people on anonymous forums aren't my thing they take up too much time if you can't tell the difference between serious and non serious posts that aint my problem.

may i just say one thing on that particular subject; every spy film has a beautiful woman involved with the leading man; and his wife is absolutely gorgeous. I say this knowing that certain people on here would prefer Rosa Klebb

akabula I believe he pleaded guilty in error as he couldn't interpret the arabic apparently.
Bap it's known that spies are recruited from Universities can remember Hugh Dennis saying he was approached as a student so might be part of the gig good with the women I mean.

Reports that his studies were concerned with security in the Emirates!!!Surprised Apparently someone he interviewed for his research dobbed him in because of the questions he was asking. Talk about being dumb!!!
