It was a joke based on the thread comments personal squabbles with anonymous people on anonymous forums aren't my thing they take up too much time if you can't tell the difference between serious and non serious posts that aint my problem.

may i just say one thing on that particular subject; every spy film has a beautiful woman involved with the leading man; and his wife is absolutely gorgeous. I say this knowing that certain people on here would prefer Rosa Klebb

Always find it strange when the wife has a different surname to the hubbies. What's her background, born, work etc? The more I think about it I reckon she's a spy too..scarpered the country within 24 hours of hubby being sentenced, that's if they are married.

Been listening to this story today. The BBC coupled it with the woman in an Iranian jail.

My problem is that there's no discussion about the cvases involved, just the presumption of innocence.

The UAE chap has probably been stitched up but who knows? There's no examination of the facts! As for the British/Iranian lady, we know she worked for the BBC at some point and that the BBEB are banned in Iran.

I find the standard of journalism on these 2 cases appalling.

I've heard the conviction still stands.  This means that should he travel abroad again and he has to declare any criminal convictions he has to tick the 'espionage' box.
