from what i heard the "rather big boned" "lady" was getting a lot of stick from some guy in a carriage and Gazza stepped in to calm down the situation and then leaned over and gave her a cuddle and a peck on the cheek - sounds like a daily mirror/sun type stitch up to me but hey ho lets see what comes out in the wash - not sure of exact date it happened neither but if it happened on one of the Ebor days then nowt surprises me regards the behaviour on the trains coming back up the road.

Had misfortune of going to Ebor last year by Transpennine on way down at 10.35 in the morning give or take a few minutes - a train that was packed to rafters like sardines and then came back on a proper train about 6.40 from York where it was pretty much the same except everyone was trollied so much so that some loon and his mates who was on a tag and had to be home by 8pm for his curfew thought it wud be gr8 fun to pull emergency chord - needless to say becos of their behaviour British Transport Police were waiting to escort him and his mates off the train at Durham some 50 mins later than advertised - been on plenty train journeys in my time but never witnessed nowt like it
