yes it can be frustrating when certain groups don't want to integrate but the ones who have are not noticed because they have. even a few who haven't fully have behaved well
and made a contribution. the chinese community being a good example. you pick the worst examples and use that a stick to beat all foreigners. it is lazy ignorant thinking imo. |

i don't live there but i go to Glasgow a lot for work. i was walking up a street in, i think, the Cathcart area of the city. A bunch of young
asian lads were hanging about and they started shouting at me, no idea why, was just random abuse & I was a bit bemused but hurried on out of there. It kind of got to me that they could behave that way but then I remembered their ages. Were they awful asian youths or just badly behaved youths? we have plenty out of control white kids to go around. |

The Chinese have long been accepted, they take a little bit of large towns and call it Chinatown, harmless stuff. The Muslims are taking whole counties, town by town, and one cannot describe their presence as harmless. It it was they would not take a hugely disproportionate number of prison cells up.

i kind of get your point but don't like the way you make it. there is no doubt islam has taken a wrong turn recently but for all the screamers and shouters there are far more just getting on
with their lives and not bothering you. can you imagine the pressure the majority of moderate muslims are under. it must be a difficult time for them so support them rather than lump them all in one basket. |

As their numbers grow, if they keep their parallel society as it is-and they haven't integrated round here in 50 years- we will have two huge and very different halves to this country. Hardly a recipe for harmony in the future.

Those who are getting on with their lives still do so separately from non Muslims. If there is little to no integration, then our two worlds are bound to collide. I assume you have never lived near an Islamic dominated town.

it is a fair point that where i live does not have a huge islamic community, when my kids were of primary school age there was a large number of
islamic kids from various areas in the school. Some of the parents got a bit weird about it but the kids never notice. They had children from all over Europe too. Racism is taught. Fear without reason fuels it. |

Yet, even though all of this is so clear, despite muslims openly telling you what they are doing, you lefties offer to pull down the collar of your shirt, so as to make your beheading easier for those who `won`t kill ME!!!`. |

there is one group that simply does not want to integrate
they want to circumvent our rules with their own what do you think the 100 or so sharia courts(the ones we know about) mean then?? why do so many of them support the introduction of sharia law have you any idea what they want to do with the law on homosexuality?? this is happening already in british towns and cities there is even a group of 'intelligentsia' going around having meetings promoting sharia |

The problem is cultural..
Cultures have grown up over a very long time apart..it is practically in peoples DNA. We have allowed a large of people of a different culture into our society, it does not surprise me there are problems. I think we should have stayed in our countries and Muslims should have stayed in there countries, we would have had a lot less problems and a lot less posts on here. Unfortunately neither of us have stuck to that, oh well. |
