I agree the BBC are politically correct and parts if it is biased to say staying in the EU , mainly because they receive some funding from the EU , see its down to money and control again

Their lack of balance on brexit is quite staggering considering over 50% of viewers who voted, voted leave.

Yes i agree with that they have been biased to Remain , but so have lots of big business they all want to stay in to protect their power and money

Also their desire to bang pro trans ideology at us. Surely one of the smallest and least important minorities in the scheme of things, but we are forced to hear about it several times every day. Why?

Apparently youngsters are shunning the BBC in their droves.
Not because of the BBC's blatant left-wing bias, but because its programmes don't appeal to them.

R4 Today programme lost 600k last year, their answer? More of the same minority tosh.

Re the violence - I am thinking of all those democrat protests after trumpton got elected - the violence coz they didn't win.  Smashed windows, cars burning  -  VIOLENCE  - hmmmmm!!!

The TELEVISION  reporting is way out of line - the bias is horrendous on many political issues.  If people cannot see they are politically blind or stupid.(deliberately ignoring )  I was taught to look at all sides to assess anything but apparently this went out the window some time ago.  You would not accept a treatise in the way they present information.  It would be shredded and you would be told to start again.  Or has this changed??

I wonder why such a low selling newspaper like the guardian gets so many people on all television programmes, commentating and mouthing off with their slanted views.  Out of all proportion to their popularity.  Strange that.

do you see the problem we have if you think like that

when you examine a social phenomenon, you  look at all sides before attempting to reach a conclusion

this simply is not happening

Indeed but there a plenty of journalists from the mail , sun , telegraph etc invited onto political debate shows , i have already said that some of the BBC reporting about Brexit was and is biased

And you think the majority of the country should blithely accept 'the way it's gone', or should they demand something which actually interests them?
They not only have minority interest shows (woman's hour Cry) but they stick minority topics or guests into every mainstream light entertainment show way above the national average. We get the message, but enough is never enough for the beeb.
I hope to see it done away with one day.

yes dave but they are saying all violence is down to trump when it was the democrat protesters who were the first to show their anti democratic violence  - how can it be trump's fault anyway

they have been doing this stuff for decades by the way

I am not comparing anything to anything just saying what is glaringly obvious in the unbalanced reporting that goes on

left wing fascists like you only want it one way  and love to twist words of those who point out the error of your ways

my original post - which you have chosen to edit to your biased view

Some fecking nutjob shoots loads of people and mostly this thread contains a load of having a go at the BBC for it's reporting of it.

The obsession one or two of you have about the BBC seems to be all-encompassing.
The "love" for Donald Trump is bordering on the weird.

The big gang you've found yourselves in on this forum, is turning some of you into twisted loons.

Not at all - the BBC is a complete joke, the diversity is ridiculous beyond belief and it's run by a load of 2.3 degree earning media studies students from the suburbs.

What is ISN'T is Left-wing, What it mostly ISN'T is in any way culpable for the mass-shooting you would rather salute Trump about than bemoan.

Feel free to address me in the 3rd person moisok, it tends to happen a lot on here. Helps with the "group-think".

See if you can spare any collective thoughts for the victims of all these shootings instead of feeling sorry for what all these "wrong" people are saying about the greatest leading politician in your world.

Thing is though, it's only your perception that it's impartial. In fact, it's only ever those who have fallen prey to certain online commentators who ever think it's impartial. Those who say "don't trust the MSM. They lie. Get your news from my anti-islam/pro-brexit/pro-trump/pro-guns/etc/etc site as I'm the only one who'll give you the real truth."BBC and other MSM are regulated. They are monitored and if they lie or are found to be impartial then they are punished. Those online aren't so aren't punished if they ever distort the truth. But obviously, they're the ones telling the truth.

Good post - falling on deaf eyes though. There are none so blind as those who will not see, eh?
I'm not sure the punishments are great, but mainstream TV is certainly more responsible than the online crap so happily touted by the fanboys.

FYI -
Propaganda you don't appreciate is anything written or said that YOU don't happen to agree with.
You don't hear the stuff you DO agree with.
You don't acknowledge ANY propaganda when it suits your beliefs.

You see what you want to... ALL THE TIME.

The sports coverage is worst of all. Ever since a woman got to be head of sport as it happens.
BBC 1 has become almost unwatchable - unless you like cheap 2nd hand crap at boot sales or want to watch someone move house.
The people who present are nearly all chosen for their ethnicity or their ugliness, there's loads of preachy rubbish.

But for all that it is MUCH cheaper than subscription TV and there are some good radio stations and BBC4 is a good channel.
One or 2 panel games are OK and there are no adverts.

So maybe the thing to do is be selective and not watch the shyte.

Thing is, this thread was about 11 people being shot in America and ANY mention of the so beloved leader brings the protection out in droves.
The pro-gun ownership follows soon, usually after 24 hours.

Khan's londan - man killed during burglary.
eu forcing mass immigration on europe.
macron having a hissy fit over yanks selling non euro fighters to belgium
eu shutting down free speech
merkel trashed in elections
Iran chuffed that eu supports them getting the BOMB

that is all very worrying news
is it on the bbc or sky

Media unsurprisingly turning this into a "Trump is a dick" angle..

what's strangest about these incidents is that people who once might have unconditionally condemned something like this now run for cover. anything but break the trump/putin/farage/yaxley/moggy alliance.

but that is what the bbc and the rest are doing isn't it??  forgive me for even commenting on it -

it just seems to me that the televisual media is so biased - sorry and all that

I was taught to examine details from every angle and source to assess a situation to come to a conclusion

it seems to me that they get a story line from their editor and run with it - any balance gets swept away

A more succinct way of what I keep trying to say.

If, moisok you examined details from every angle, you'd see less bias than it seems to you there is.
